What is Instagram?
Instagram is a social network that enables users to take pictures and videos,
and share them with friends. Instagram integrates with various other social
networks (Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Flickr) to allow for sharing of visual
content across the social sphere.
What’s New?
• In August 2015, Instagram launched landscape and portrait formats, in
addition to its ubiquitous square format.
• The way that images can be captured and shared now corresponds to use
of a rectangular Smartphone, without any cropping needed.
• Videos can be consumed in a widescreen format, in line with typical
shooting and viewing formats.
• Instagram filters are now the same for photos and videos.
• Users can now adjust the intensity of filters on videos in addition to photos.
