HOW?
Once you have set your clinic date, time, and location, employees sign up
through an online registration system for their specific vaccination time. Then,
our licensed nurses verify information and administer the vaccinations. Because
employees sign up for specific time slots, they can complete the ­vaccination
­process in the time it takes for a typical coffee break. As a result, more
­employees are vaccinated without taking time off work to visit a doctor or off-
site vaccination clinic.

NOSE VS. NEEDLE
Which is better: a traditional flu shot or the nasal spray?
Both offer the same level of protection for most people, but each has its pros and cons.
The Basics
• FluMist sprayed into nose
• Live vaccine
• Made from weak virus that can’t cause the flu
• Mild side effects have been reported (Headache, runny
nose, cough, and sore throat are most common in adults;
children may have wheezing, vomiting, muscle aches,
and fever.)
Pros
• Good for people between the ages of 2 and 49 who are
generally healthy and not pregnant
• Easy to take
Cons
• Not recommended for children younger than 2, adults
older than 49, pregnant women, or children/adolescents
taking aspirin
• Not for people with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a weakened
immune system, heart disease, lung disease (like asthma),
diabetes, or kidney disease
• Not for people with a history of severe allergic reaction
to eggs or a previous flu vaccine or for anyone who is in
­contact with someone with a severely weakened immune
system from such treatments as a stem cell transplant

• Made from dead influenza virus

life-threatening allergies to an ingredient in the vaccine
