2. BIOGRAPHY
Fernando Botero was born in Colombia on 19 April,1932.
He received his primary education in Antoquia.
He continued his secondary education at the Jesuit school of
Bolivar.
In 1948 Botero, at the age of 16, had his first ilustration
published in the Sunday Supplement of the El Colombiano,
one of the most important newspapers in Medellín.
He worked the most of the year in Paris in the last three
decades.
He is the most recognized living artist from Latin America.
