2. What is HEAL?
Many of us will encounter illness during
our lifetime. Too often, people who at one
time were visibly active and productive in
our parish have become isolated, neglected,
and forgotten because of sickness or life
circumstances. Illness can be a temporary
situation that disrupts the normal flow of life
and often places hardships on individuals
and families. HEAL wants to help. The
goal of this ministry is to gain a greater
awareness of the state of our temporarily
and permanently home bound parishioners,
to recognize their tremendous spiritual
contribution to our Church, and to provide
opportunities of assistance that would allow
them to experience closer ties with our
parish family.
This is accomplished with Help,
Encouragement, and Love
