Do you need ideas for a lead magnet?
You are in the right place. I’ll share with you five simple
strategies you can use to create a lead magnet and get high
quality leads. Leads that will literally beg you to sell them stuff.

The real reason I created this post is because I’ve noticed
there are so many online entrepreneurs who don’t have a lead
magnet. I don’t want you to be one of them because with a good
lead magnet you can capture highly targeted, high quality leads
that will eventually buy anything you offer them.
I always like to start with the basics because some people have
never heard of a lead magnet or maybe they’ve heard it before
but no one explained what a lead magnet was.
What is a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is something you giveaway in exchange for
information, most commonly someones email address. Some
people may call this a “giveaway.”
There are several different kinds of lead magnets: PDF’s, Apps,
Video Series, newsletter signup, E-course…etc.
Why use a lead magnet?
A good lead magnet is worth spending the time to create
because they work and get results. We all know it’s a numbers
game; the more leads you get the more sales you’ll get. The
awesome thing about a lead magnet is you attract people who
want the product or service you offer. A lead magnet is a way
to attract and give value to a future customer.
Strategy #1: Put yourself in your perfect customers shoes and
come up with a list of things you know people want to know
on a regular basis.
Tip: Don’t give them general information they can find
anywhere. Give them something they can’t find anywhere
else. Make your lead magnet unquied and your subscribers
will be compelled to opt-in.
Strategy #2: Find blogs and forums in your niche. These are
great places to get an idea of what the people in your market
want more information about. Find what is lacking and create
a solution.
Tip: If you type into google “your niche” and then “forums or
blogs” there will be serval to choose from. For example, if you
were in the dog training niche you would type: dog training
blogs or dog training forums.
Strategy #3: Social media is a great place to find ideas. Go
to groups that pertain to your niche and observe. What are
the questions being asked? How many likes are certain posts
getting? You can find out what people resonate with.
Tip: Youtube is also a great social media site. Look for the
number of video views and what comments people have
posted.
Strategy #4: Go to Amazon.com and look at reviews of the
books that pertain to your niche. Look at the positive and
negative reviews.
Tip: Negative reviews are just as important as positive
reviews. If you know what they don’t like, you can talk to them
in ways your competition isn’t and find out the hot buttons
people have about that niche.
Strategy #5: Sending surveys to your existing list can give
you pleanty of ideas for a great lead magnet because you are
asking them exactly what they want and you can provide it.
Tip: Here are two questions you definitely want to ask in your
survey. #1. What’s your biggest frustration? #2. What’s the
number one thing you haven’t been able to find information
about?
