an expert
who knew you
really really well,
had observed you over
a long time,
and who was
looking out for you?

busy, unthinking, or unkind
individual
who does not even remember
doing it?

16. let’s look at a few simple questions
to help us come to believe again in our ability to create

17. Do you solve problems?
Do you get dressed?
Do you raise children? Do you read?
Do you adjust? Do you cook?
Do you speak?
Do you build?
Do you organize?
Do you work? Do you make friends?
Do you play? Do you think?
Do you change?
Do you decide?
Are you alive?

yes
to one or more of those questions,
YOU
ARE
CREATIVE

19. so, what does creative look like?

20. creating
comes in all
shapes and
sizes

21. and all
colors

22. working learning struggling trying
listening
sleeping growing tweaking telling
relating playing reading
and can happen in our many
situations remaking
studying writing
testing
interpreting teaching joking
making
translating solving applying failing recognizing

23. creative often looks or feels
different
than you were taught and believe
(yes, it may be something other than painting or drawing)

24. and that other part that still bothers you...
the work does not come out perfect the first time
even
for the
BEST

25. they...
practice
rewrite
rework
restart
refine
test
fail
retry
struggle
work hard
(like you and I, but a whole lot more and on purpose)

26. effort
&
willingness
are
nonnegotiable

27. bottom line:
messy
creative is
(we just usually see an end product after the clean up)

28. so, what makes someone creative?

29. creating.

30. there was a time you did that without thinking
and

is a spark
still inside you
that believes
you can.

32. it may require COURAGE
to create again..

33. but the choice is yours
and
yours only ...

34. the world is missing what you can do...
