Hi. I’m Katelyn. The founder of Vendeve. Vendeve is a skills marketplace… that’s going to change how we buy and sell time.
As I like to say, if you’ve got skills, Vendeve will help you pay the bills.
But before I show you how it works, or explain how we got 1800 users in 12 weeks, who posted $100 thousand dollars worth of services, there’s someone you should meet.
This is Anna. Until recently, Anna worked at a call centre. She was getting by. And was lucky to have even have a job. But there was still something missing. Passion.
Anna’s real passion is photography. And, call her crazy, but, last month Anna quit her job to open her own studio.

In just 12 weeks, we brought in 1800 members, who posted $100,000 dollars worth of services, launched into 4 new cities and we made the national news. Twice.
To put that in context, we’re seeing faster growth than marketplaces like Etsy oDesk or Elance did in their first year.
So what’s our secret? Well, our customers want this product and our marketing is on point. And speaking of marketing, that’s actually my speciality.
Ok. So this isn’t my first business venture. I founded my first company, RedRiot at 25. And in four years, I grew it into one of Halifax hottest branding agencies.
Last year, I did record-breaking sales at RedRiot and reeled in clients like Target and the Holiday Inn, while bootstrapping Vendeve with just one greenhorn developer. It was hard. Some people said it would be impossible. But I did what I had to do to bring my vision to life.
And my co-founder Calee is the perfect yin to my yang. Calee is a brilliant academic, who is annoying good at everything she does. She’s also a passionate advocate for youth and female empowerment.
And 2 months ago, Calee walked away from her “dream teaching job”. A job she worked 10 years to get. To join our team. Maybe she’s crazy. But, Calee figured, if she could survive 3 years in the North Preston school system, and mission work in Africa and Asia, startup life would be a breeze.
In short? We’re used to doing the impossible. On a shoestring budget.
We’ve built a world-class team that shares our passion.
With a solid go-to market strategy, awesome timing, and a killer product. We aim to do $15 million in sales by year three. And that’s the tip of the iceberg.
