2. I rejected this image because the
pose and facial expression of the
actor isn’t a convention of a
scripted reality like TOWIE. You
wouldn’t associate an expression
like this with TOWIE characters,
like you would with pouting and
posing. Also, the photo was taken
when the actor wasn’t looking
therefore it was inevitable a re-take
was in order.
This image has been rejected for a
number of reasons. Firstly, the
lighting is poor and too bright,
resulting in a bad quality photo as
the you can’t see the characters
faces too well. Secondly, we’re no
longer using a group shot for either
our billboard or front cover
therefore the photo was deemed
surplus to requirements.
3. Rowan’s pose and facial
expression is not affiliated with
TOWIE in any way, therefore the
audience wouldn’t understand it’s a
parody of TOWIE. Her eyes are too
bold and don’t look natural.
Furthermore, there is too much
head space which makes the shot
look unprofessional.
This photo has been rejected for
obvious reasons; Harley’s eyes are
closed therefore the shot couldn’t
possibly be shortlisted as it looks
unprofessional. In addition to this, I
want my billboard shot’s to be close
up’s ,yet this is a mid shot therefore
wouldn’t work in my billboard.
4. The pose isn’t a convention of
TOWIE, nor does it suggest or
connote a character trait. For
example, my character Rolex is a
player, therefore he should be
winking or something associated
with being a ladies man. Instead
this shot doesn’t tell us anything.
There is nothing wrong with this
photo in terms of, lighting, camera
work or head space. The only
reason I have rejected this shot is
because we decided not to use
Megan looking down. The initial
plan was to have Megan looking
with anger at someone as shown in
the shot, however, we changed our
minds and wanted Megan to pout
instead.
