But the tree could not
frighten the people.
The people decided to cut
down some trees for wood.

Soon many villagers came to cut down the trees. One man
said they would cut down the foolish tree the next day.

That night the foolish tree cried. It knew it
would be killed the following day.
This was the result of his selfish action.

* We must live in peace and harmony with ourselves,
with others and with the Environment.
* We must practice patience, tolerance, kindness and
understanding.
* Bad thoughts, bad speech and bad actions will
result in suffering.
