In the beautiful Lumbini Park
Lumbini, the place of Birth of Siddhartha Gautama
is in Nepal, at the border with India.
It’s a Holy Place of Peace and Serenity
that inspires the Buddhist Pilgrim certainly.

The Bodhisattva was residing in Tusita Heaven before His last
Birth as a Human Being … He would become the Fully
Enlightened Buddha, The Teacher of Gods and Men.

In his twenty-ninth year, realizing
the fleeting and unsatisfactory
nature of life, Siddhartha
resolved to leave his palace in
search of Peace and Truth. His
departure from home was an
unprecedented case of historic
renunciation born out of
compassion for the suffering of
all beings in Samsara.
This Great Renunciation was
followed by 6 years of ardent
struggle before He attained
Enlightenment - He found the
Path to end all suffering.

Tells us now of Loving-
Kindness
For 45 years, the Buddha expounded the Dhamma .

The Cause of Dukkha
The Cessation of Dukkha
The Noble Eightfold Path leading to the Cessation of Dukkha.
He also taught the practice of Metta or Loving-kindness to all beings.

Satu jalan ke Nirvana
Where there is Full Awareness
(and Knowing),
(You will Find) The One Way to Nirvana
The only Way to Liberation, to
be free from Suffering or Dukkha
is the Noble 8-Fold Path.
Right Mindfulness is
Samma Sati in Pali.
Practicing this with the other
7 factors diligently,
may we all soon end all forms of
suffering and misery.

Beneath the Holy
Bodhi Tree,
The Bodhisattva
Meditates
Diligently
One glorious day, seated under the Bodhi Tree at Bodhgaya,
he vowed not to stir from his seat
until he attained Supreme Buddhahood.
On a happy Wesak Full Moon Day, six years after his Great
Renunciation, He obtained perfect Enlightenment –
He was 35 years old.

Suffering
On the Way to Enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree,
the Bodhisattva at the 3 watches of the night,
realized the following:
First watch-Siddhartha gained knowledge of all his
previous lives.
Second watch- He understood the repetitive cycle of birth
death and rebirth. He saw that beings go through birth,
death and rebirth according to their Kamma.
Third watch- He realized The Four Noble Truths. He
understood that suffering can be overcome through the
Path to Enlightenment, The Noble Eightfold Path.

(Homage to Him, the Gracious One, the Exalted One, the Perfect Sambuddha.)
‘Itipi so bhagavā arahaṃ sammāsambuddho vijjācaraṇasampanno sugato lokavidū
anuttaro purisadammasārathi satthā devamanussānaṃ buddho bhagavā’ti’
(Thus, indeed is that Gracious One: The Worthy One, fully enlightened, endowed with
clear vision and virtuous conduct, sublime, the Knower of the worlds, the unsurpassed
guide of those who need taming, the Teacher of gods and men, the Buddha and the
Gracious One.)

harta benda
Untuk membebaskan
penderitaan
He has sacrificed
all worldly and
material wealth
and possessions
To Liberate us
from Suffering.
To The Buddha, The Fully
Enlightened One, we owe a
Gratitude that’s beyond measure.
The Dhamma He expounded for
us is truly the greatest Treasure.
As Gratitude to The Fully
Awakened Buddha,
may we practice diligently The
Dhamma that will lead us to the
end of Dukkha.

“Think not that you have no Teacher after my Death. Regard
