2. OBE
is defined as a “…comprehensive approach to organizing and operating an
education system that is focused in and defined by the successful
demonstrations of learning sought from each student” (Spady, 1994). An
Education Department of Western Australia document describes OBE as “an
educational process which is based on trying to achieve certain specified
outcomes in terms of individual student learning. Thus, having decided what
are the key things students should understand and be able to do or the
qualities they should develop, both structures and curricula are designed to
achieve those capabilities or qualities. Educational structures and curriculum
are regarded as means not ends. If they do not do the job, they are
rethought” (Willis & Kissane, 1995).

II OF III THE PLANS:
OBE/CASS BASED LESSON PLANS
. OBE/CASS Based Lesson Plans
We’ve identified all four steps of creating an OBE/CASS based lesson
plan. Not too difficult, right? Let’s summarize them now.
4 Steps of creating an OBE/CASS Based Lesson Plan:
Outcome: The LOs and ASs are set before the lesson begins.
Presentation: Teachers present information clearly and creatively.
Activity: Transforms information into knowledge.
Assessment: Occurs on a continuous basis and informs future teaching
and learning.
4. Now we need to apply these steps within the framework of a lesson
plan. Take a look at your lesson plan template. Let’s review a few of
the design features:
Context Large, general theme of a lesson; often a chapter or module.
Content Specific topic of today’s lesson; often a unit or section.
Link w/ Previous
Lesson
The Content of the previous lesson.
Link w/ Next
Lesson
The Content of the next lesson.
Forms of
Assessment
Simply lists the forms of assessment that were used.
Resources List the resources needed for the lesson. (ie. Textbooks, rulers,
chart, etc.)
Integration List any LOs or ASs from other Learning Areas that were included in
the lesson.
Teacher Reflection This box provides space for the teacher to reflect on the lesson after
it has been taught. Teachers can write what went well, what didn’t
and how the lesson can be improved in the future.

old
new
11. As what I had research the K-12 program . This emplimition would not
change the old subject that is being implemented before the K-12 program comes.
There is still same subject but the difference here is that, it has the new
way or strategies that is being use in order to have level up teaching or somewhat
like that it is more knowledge that can be gain by the student and there is also more
on the application of the students skills which they can enhanced trough the
guidance of their teacher that is also more knowledgeable .
The new subject that is involve here in the K-12 is the subject for the
specialization of the student which can help their hidden skills even they are still in
secondary . Thais skills would be their passport to have easily be on the job. And
this k-12 program implemented for the benefits of everyone and to our country
which can be more competitive to the other country and to have the less number of
illiterate filipino people .
