§ ISO 20121:2012 specifies requirements for an Event Sustainability
Management System (ESMS) for any type of event or event-
related activity, and provides guidance on conforming to those
requirements
§ Intended for any organization or individual including clients,
suppliers and event managers
§ It is relevant for small conference meetings as well as large-scale
sporting events
§ Covers any organization – whatever the size or type
§ A certification model
