2. Main Idea - âHonesty & Truthfulnessâ
1. Invite students to discuss about the âHonesty & Truthfulnessâ â be truthful to yourself before to others. Possible question, kenapa kita kena
jadi honest? Spark the discussion, how we want to be treated? What are the consequences? BUT at the end of the day, it is a CHOICE by
the kids. How do we go about this by being respectful to peopleâs choices. Itâs okay to say NO!
2. Observe if they can follow through the discussion. If not, we might want to explore storytelling. Can also relate to relics, for example, sifat
wajib bagi Nabi.
3. Situational based, for example, fasting month (menahan diri dari makan dan minum), or kalau ada duit tercicir, siapa yang jumpa dan
pulangkan â problem solving learning/experiential learning.
4. Instill holding the judgement by role modelling to the kids
5. Creating the safe space, for example, we cannot judge people or hold the judgement.
6. Being honest to themselves â itâs not that they are not âhonestâ, but they just do not know how to express/describe â itâs okay to say, âI
donât knowâ and the importance of self care.
7. To always be true even it is hard (bercakap benar walaupun pahit), we discuss the consequences if they keep the secret.
8. Be honest, but still respect the person â say it in respectful way, but the other party also needs to learn/practice to accept the
comment/input from others.
9. Do you think sometimes it's hard to be honest
10. Why do you think sometimes it's hard to be honest
11. Importance of honesty and truthfulness
12. Boundaries in being honest
13. How to apply the skills to seek truthfulness â eventually truth will prevail. For example, history is written from the person perspective.
3. Main Idea - âKindness to Othersâ
1. Invite students to discuss about the âKindness to Othersâ â remind being kind to yourself first then only being
kind to others will be smooth - who are âothersâ, animals, environment, ecosystem (example, if we are not
being kind to environment, there will be pollution), what are the kindness they receive from parents & Allah?
2. Observe if they can follow through the discussion. If not, we might want to explore different approach. Possible
question, kenapa kita kena baik dengan orang? Spark the discussion, how we want to be treated? What are the
consequences if we are not being kind? BUT at the end of the day, it is a CHOICE by the kids. How do we go
about this by being respectful to peopleâs choices. Itâs okay to say NO! boleh sentuh juga how to say no in a firm
way, in a kinder way
3. Book â âKindness Growsâ.
4. Situational example â expose to them that being kind to others does not mean that the others will be kind to
them back. To relate to relics, Allah is the most kind to everyone. For example, we might be kind to âAâ, but we
will receive kindness from âBâ.
5. Ikhlas, although if they do not receive the kindness, we believe that the act of kindness will eventually receive
the payback from Allah (relics).
6. Being kind all the time (online and real life) â avoid backbiting, cyber bullying, being authentic to oneself.
7. Being kind to all Malaysians â no racism!, living together, tolerance, can relate to history of multiracial
community in Malaysia.
4. Main Idea - âGratefulnessâ
1. Invite students to discuss about the âGratefulnessâ â adakah sedih dan marah itu tidak bersyukur? Grateful in
what way, action, words, food, physical? Why do we need to be grateful or what form of grateful? Relics â ayat
Al Quran
2. Observe if they can follow through the discussion. If not, we might want to explore different approach.
3. Situational example â we help other people who are in need as a sign of gratefulness.
4. Grateful with the things close to them â food, physical abilities, parents, family
5. Kalau kita solat adakah itu tanda bersyukur juga tak?
6. Appreciation as a way to express gratefulness
7. "What are you grateful for today?"
5. Activities to wrap/summarize the themes:
1. At the beginning of Week 1: Invite them to go through the 2022 calendar, and the themes.
2. Competition regarding the theme to wrap up the theme/subtheme (for all themes):
âą Comic book
âą Story telling
âą Group project
6. 1) Jual beli (contoh Hari Kanti/Bazaar Ramadhan)
2) Prompt Arians with celebration (bulan Puasa/Ramadhan)
3) Drama, maybe
âą Kisah pengembala dan biri-biri (The boy cries the wolf!) â probably the boy was bored.
âą Have fun and joking around but must be ethical and mindful â discuss the consequences.
âą For example, if someone does something which presume âbadâ by people, there are
underlying reasons for their action.
âą We prompt with the stories and invite them to change the story, if they want, and allow them
to choose the role.
* To end each theme, LFs prompt for the next theme

5) Appreciation card at the end of the month

- Reflection, if students do not get/receive the card, how would we reflect with them?
