How To Describe A Day On A Rainy Day Essay
One cold wet afternoon in early November, the fog was so thick I felt a though I could reach out
and grab it. It had been bright sunshine when we walked into that forest. Or should I say when
we were chased into it. Earlier that morning it felt as though it would be just another ordinary
Saturday. The birds were singing, the tractors were ploughing, but little did I know that at that
point, this was no regular day for what was to come on the sunny day was very irregular indeed.
Later on I decided to ring ben and see if he wanted to go on a walk together in the countryside.
After about ten minutes we set of together through the fields and down the country lanes. All of a
sudden ben stopped in the middle of the road and asked me if I had seen the forest ahead of us
before. Confused I said no and we started up again and carried on with our walk. Out of nowhere a
bull jumped out the hedgerow a chased ben and I towards the forest walls. We ran in and hid behind
some trees close so to the edge. The bull seemed to know that we were there but didn't seem to
want to go into the forest. Ben moved his head signalling that we should find a way out of the
forest I nodded and came out of where I was hiding I turned and saw the bull staring at me but he
didn't move I suddenly noticed that the fog around us was growing thicker and I could no longer
see ben in front of me. I shouted for him but no reply. Suddenly I fell and heard a cry of which I
thought sounded like ben I turned and

Descriptive Essay On Rain
It's cool and dark outside of the car as we drive, dark clouds hovering over the plains as fat, heavy
drops of water fall from the full clouds. The lights of cars and streetlights and cars blur with the
flow of water on the side windows, our speed not fast enough to force the drops to flow back
along the windows. It's not until we start on the highway and the water starts to move that I find
my objects of interest in front of me in the form of the rain and the memories of my childhood
that surface with them. The rain on the windshield was and still is pleasant to watch. The way the
drops clump together and make small rivers that travel up the window before being slashed at by
the windshield wiper. It's calming to watch the water move as it wants, making new trails as the
wind fights to push the raindrops upwards. It reminds me of a sort of game I used to play when I
was little and watched the rain run across the windows. I used to always imagine that the rain that
gathered at the bottom of the window near the wiper motors where all the little water people that
needed to get away because they were trapped there unless they could collect into a big fat drop
that could carry them out of reach of the wipers when it went by. I always imagined that they
were escaping to little space pods that would bring them to the outer edge of the window that I
considered to be outer space where it was safe, and the side windows as the paths they had to take
to get home. When I was young this little game would entertain me on long car rides. I was never
fond of the windshield wipers. The way the black arms would come to push away all the escaping
water, cutting off the paths of the little droplets and flinging some away while shoving the rest back
into the bottom of the window. As a child, it made me frustrated that it would always ruin the
departure of the make–believe escape pods. I hated the sound the wipers would occasionally make
when the window was too dry to give it a slick path to slide over. It was also ugly and reminded
me of some sort of weird arm that was devoid of muscle or flesh, much like a skeleton which was
fitting. The windshield wiper represented death and failure of the hopeful, little traveling droplets;

A Paris Street, Rainy Day
April showers bring May flowers or, in Caillebotte's case, the Impressionist piece A Paris Street,
Rainy Day (1877). Downcast faces stare into the puddles while umbrellas shield figures from not the
rain, but each other. Caillebotte's painting captures French author Baudelaire's concept of the
ephemeral modernity with his subjects, their minute interactions, and a complex composition style
that moves the viewer's eyes and heart. Impressionists and Baudelaire had similar views on what
they wanted the modern painter to achieve. "By 'modernity' I mean the ephemeral, the fugitive, the
contingent, the half of art whose other half is the eternal and the immutable."(Baudelaire FYP
Handbook 67) writes Baudelaire as he whims on the artist's goal––...show more content...
Looming larger than life, Caillebotte has employed a slight fish–eye perspective to increase the
grandeur of the apartments. Their strong, solid lines impend over the dwarfed passer–by's figures;
they appear small, like Paris got 'cleaner' but more consuming. Contrary to the ephemeral aspect of
modernity for Baudelaire, scaffolding on one of the buildings suggests that more 'improvements' are
to take place, that there will be a continual change, and, therefore, a persisting tone. The structure of
the apartments and their perspective displays both modern and ancient

Furthermore, a logo should promote the essence of a brand. Also, the logo design should
communicate through brand attributes to create an emotional connection with the target audience.
The brand attributes are fun, energetic, vibrant, creative and engaging. The anticipated impression
from the audience was more likely to feel connected to Rainy Day Toys products. However, the
overall impression was fun, energetic, creative, and engaging. Unfortunately, they were unsure if it

Essay about Rain
Stepping outside, I instantly notice the fresh, wet scent of earth. As I continue walking, I willingly
allow the sprinkling droplets to envelop my entire body. My shoes are soon soaked; with each step
I take, I feel a puddle of water move beneath my feet. The rain hurls itself violently on the dark,
slippery pavement. My hair is dripping with ice–cold raindrops which plummet to the earth with
every movement I make. The numbing effect of the icy downpour is finally setting in. Fierce
thunder clouds sneak into the murderous sky and flashing lightning strikes begin. The rain falls faster
and heavier. My feet move quickly as I run down the road. I rush into my house and proceed to stare
out the window and observe the vicious storm that is only...show more content...
As a person lets the cool rain wash over them, a feeling of renewal and cleanliness is created.
Depression rates skyrocket during the dark and dreary seasons. This condition is known as Seasonal
Affective Disorder. About 5–percent of adults in the United States live with this condition. The loss
of sunlight and increase of poor weather – snow, rain, wind– contribute to the severity of the
disorder. During the fall and winter months, it often rains. This is one contributing factor to SAD.
Although rain can be light and happy, it can also be extremely harsh. Thunderstorms are often
present during heavy rainstorms. The electric flashes of light bring about nothing but fear; the
pounding rain only intensifies the storm. It is easy to see why the mere sight of rain depresses
some people. When rain is mentioned, I think of light ecstatic sprinkling. However, because of
the different experiences each individual has, the opposite conclusion could be made. Rain drops
strongly resemble teardrops. Because of this astounding resemblance, a connection between sad
teardrops and rain is made. During a rain storm, the sky is not clear and blue; it is murky and gray.
Colors have feelings associated with them. Blue is happy and bubbly while gray is sad and dull. A
depressed person will take a quick look at the rain and jump back in their beds.
It seems like in every good love story there is always a passionate kissing scene. A couple gets into a
fight, splits

Month 8–Design Integration
In month 8, the Rainy Day Toy project had a turning point. From the previous course, in month 7,
the logo design did not reach its full potential of creativity, which leads to lack of clarity and visual
impact. Under those circumstances, I decided to strategize by re–sketching and brainstorming new
ideas. In effect, by continually iterating, refining, and improving the work, a designer can have more
ideas, trying a variety of approaches, unlock creativity and arrive more quickly at successful solutions
(IDEO.org, 2015). With this in mind, creating three style guides that broken into different visual
elements such as color palette, typography, and imagery, which generate the look and feel of the
