5. Mission Statement
BeyondNovember.org is a collaboration of the
Nine Network of Public Media, St. Louis Public
Radio and the St. Louis Beacon that shines a light
on politics and public policy issues that matter to
voters in our region. We aim to engage citizens in
an ongoing conversation about issues that
concern them and will use that information along
with our own resources to hold public officials
accountable through the election season and
beyond.

Understanding and giving voice to voters concerns.
Explaining how political issues affect individuals.
Disclosing the influence of money and interests on the political
process.
Checking candidates’ assertions and positions against facts and
reality.
