         2.1 Tunisia               > The Tunisian Solar Plan is in line with similar international
                                     projects, in particular, the Mediterranean Solar Plan.

                                   > It reflects Tunisia’s ambition to become an international hub
                                     in the field of industrial and energy production and
                                     exportation in the Solar Energy. (TuNur and Desertec
                                     projects).

         2.3. Morroco          > The Moroccan Project of the Solar energy aims at the
                                 implementation in 2020 of an electric production capacity
                                 from the solar energy of a total capacity of 2 000 MW on
                                 five sites.

                                 Photovoltaic- are envisaged for these various stations.

          2.6. Mauritania                      > The part of the renewable energies in Mauritanian national
                                                 energy balance in 15 % in 2015 and 20 % in 2020.

                                               > Financial needs: 1 billion medium-term €.

          2.7. Egypt                  > Currently, the Egyptian production capacity of energy
                                        resources is 23 000 MW.

                                      > The Egyptian government plans to increase it to 58 000MW
                                        by 2028.

                                      > While approximately 3 000MW are planned to come from

                                          The current national access to electricity supply is about
                                          43% of the population.
                                          Hydropower and imported fossil fuel are the main energy
                                          sources used to generate electricity in the country.
                                          Four sites in the environs of Kaleo (near WA), Lawra, Jirapa
          2.8. Ghana                      and Navrongo have been identified and acquired for a total
                                          of 10MWp PV plants.
                                          Contract has already been awarded for the construction of
                                          2 MWp at Navrongo which is expected to be completed by
                                          the end of 2012. VRA is seeking concessionary funding to
                                          develop the remaining 8 MWp.

          2.9. Senegal                  > Senegal enjoys a particular favorable insulation rate (an
                                          average of 3000 hours per year).
                                          This means a return on investment in less than 7 years for
                                          solar photovoltaic system.

                                          Senegal is still around 0.6% electricity production by
                                          renewable energies, while the target for 2015 is 15%.

         2.10. Saudi Arabia          > Saudi Arabia has noticed it has 20 centuries of solar
                                       reserves and has made plans to tap them for its own use.

                                     > The Kingdom has just announced a $109 billion plan to
                                       create a solar industry that generates a third of the nation’s
                                       electricity by 2032.

                                     > King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy

         2.10. Jordan          > Jordan’s energy strategy calls for renewable energy to
                                 account for 7% of the kingdom’s energy mix by 2015, and
                                 10% by 2020; namely 1,200MW from wind power and
                                 600MW from solar energy.

                               > Most alarming is that the oil fuel reserves at the Central
                                 Electricity Generating Company (CEGCO) are enough to last
                                 for just five days.

Hydropower and imported fossil fuel are the main energy sources used to generate electricity in the country. Four sites in the environs of Kaleo (near WA), Lawra, Jirapa 2.8. Ghana and Navrongo have been identified and acquired for a total of 10MWp PV plants.
