Best Practices during the conference
When in attendance, make sure to bring a smartphone (and a battery charger) to capture the live event through
photos and social media.
For media and bloggers looking to capture the event, decide on a place to record quotes from speakers. We
recommend bringing a notepad and pen or using a smartphone to write out soundbites.
On Facebook, keep copy concise and include visuals whenever possible. On Twitter, keep tweets under or
around 120 characters to maximize opportunities to be retweeted.
Have fun! Talk to attendees and make connections (online and offline) with members of your local community!
