Totally puzzled by web 2.0 tools but really want to have a go? This session is for you! Want to know your Wallwisher from your Wordle? If you too want to start using Web 2.0 tools but are ensure where to start, my session will show you that you do not need to be an ICT expert to use these tools. You will learn how to create a series of web 2.0 tools to use either as stand-alone or as widgets to embed in your own blog or wiki.
Web 2.0 is about revolutionary new ways of creating, collaborating, editing and sharing user-generated content online. It's also about ease of use. There's no need to download, and teachers and students can master many of these tools in minutes. Technology has never been easier or more accessible to all.
Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.
