3. Dr. Nellie Deutsch (Ed.D) is an education technology advisor, English
faculty member in blended learning and fully online programs at a
university and faculty on leadership fully online in the transpersonal
graduate program at Atlantic University. She’s on the IATEFL YLTSIG,
EDMedia executive, WAOE, TESOL CALL-IS, HEIS and SSIS
committees. Nellie has been teaching English in high school and at the
college level for over 35 years and integrating technology since 1992.
She organizes free online programs for educators on how to manage and
teach with Moodle and integrate technology into face-to-face, blended,
and fully online courses online MOOCs, online conferences (Connecting
Online and Moodle MOOTs), and other online events such as Fall and
Spring Blog Festivals. She is passionate about using technologies such

6. Vance Stevens - I've been involved in online learning since way
last century, as founder of a movement that became Webheads
in Action, still a robust community. I have been a coordinator of
the TESOL / CALL-IS Electronic Village Online for almost 15
years and have moderated several 5-week online sessions there
ranging from Multiliteracies and MOOCs to Minecraft. In 2010 I
started a weekly webinar series called Learning2gether. I teach
EFL at the UAE Air College in Al Ain, UAE, where I'm fortunate to
be working with fine colleagues who have been co-presenting
with me in workshops at conferences worldwide, where we show
how we strive to develop our use of iPad technology to address
our students' academic needs and skill sets.My presentation here
derives from one such session.

7. I am an English teacher with more than 7 years of experience. I hold a
bachelor’s degree in English and two post graduate online degrees from
the University of Oregon thanks to two scholarships granted by the USA
Embassy in Bolivia (Webskills and Introduction to TESOL Methods). Just
a week ago, I received one more scholarship to attend “Critical Thinking
Skills” at the same University. This course starts in June 2015. I have
hosted many webinars on WiZiQ during different MOOCs to share the
valuable knowledge that I had the blessing to get. I have just finished a
course with Shaping the Way We Teach English named: The Landscape
of English Language Teaching. I am a grammar enthusiast. You can find
all my Grammar Guides posted on eslprintables.com. I have started
tutoring students in preparation for the TOEFL and TOEFL IBT tests
lately. It is great to see them thrive and get good scores. My biggest
dream is to have found a teaching job in Dubai by the end of 2015. I
believe in learning as a way of living and teaching as a way of giving
back to our community.
8. Vicky Papageorgiou is a foreign language teacher (English, Italian,
Greek) with approximately 20 years of experience with mainly adult
learners. She holds an MA in Education (Open Univ. of Cyprus) and
an MA in Art (Goldsmiths College, UK) and she has just completed her
PGCE in Technology Enhanced Learning at the University of Wales
Trinity Saint David. She studied in Greece, Italy and the UK but also
participated in an international project in translation for the McLuhan
program in Culture and Technology for the University of Toronto,
Canada. She writes articles and blogs about Edtech and she is very
passionate about the use of technology in teaching languages. She
has a particular interest in MOOCs and the way they are developing.
She is currently based in Thessaloniki (Greece) working as an Adjunct
Lecturer at AMC College.
9. Brenda Mallinson is a Learning Technologies
consultant, having worked in higher education for over
25 years, and with the Moodle OSS VLE for 11+
years. She is currently working on a number of
Educational Technology and Open Educational
Resource projects at higher education institutions
across sub-Saharan Africa, encompassing research,
strategy, theory, and practice. She is also non-resident
Research Associate in the Department of Information
Systems, Rhodes University, South Africa.
10. Ebba Ossiannilsson, PhD, E-learning, OER, MOOC and online
expert and consultant, especially regarding quality. Ossiannilsson
earned her PhD from Oulu University, Finland, with a dissertation on
international benchmarking, and quality enhancement on e-learning in
Higher Education. She works with strategic issues on e-learning,,
learning analytics, MOOCs, OERs and open education, especially
concerning quality and benchmarking. She frequently participates as a
speaker at conferences. Ossiannilsson is a consultant in international
and national associations and projects. She serves as an evaluator for
the SEQUENT. She is the research leader for the ICDE Quality
standard study2014. Ossiannilsson earned the title EDEN Fellow
2014. Ossiannilsson is a Project Manager at the Centre for Educational
Development, Lund University, Sweden.

12. Shanthi Cumaraswamy Streat graduated in Politics and
International Studies from the University of Southampton, UK in
1989. After 20 years in the world of Finance in such varied fields as
life assurance, stockbroking, fund management, and wealth
management, she decided to re-train as an English as a Foreign
Language (EFL) Trainer.
She studied for the CELTA at International House, London in 2009
and has since been a freelance English Language Trainer
specialising in teaching adults both General and Business English.
She teaches online and offline through her home stay full
immersion courses. She is based in South East London, UK.

13. Stephan has been working with ELT at middle, high school and
college levels for the last 18 years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He
holds an M.A. in Linguistics and specializations in Distance
Learning. He is a Trinidad and Tobago national and has taken
up residence in Brazil since 1996. He currently works in teacher
training and development at a renowned local language school,
where he coordinates academic issues for the school’s
franchise units. In addition, he lectures in specialization

Sharon has fifteen year's experience working within the education and
technology sector; developing, designing and managing projects for national
partners such as Parliament's Education Service, the Department of Health &
Public Health England, NHS England, Royal Observatory Greenwich and Asda.
Sharon leads on schools activity across the Makewaves platform and focuses
on how young people engage with partner activities through Open Badges. Over

involved in training and coaching ESL learners, teacher
