This station will require creativity in writing and drawing.
Imagine Steve fled town and went into hiding after he almost beat
Georgie to death. Your group will be creating a “Wanted” poster for
Steve. This will be a poster everyone around the country will be
looking at to help locate his whereabouts. Make sure you give an
accurate sketch and information which will help assure his return.

Your group will need to remain on task so you can complete this
station and points will not be deducted.
All group members must participate.

Have fun and do good work!!

                       Station 4
At this station, you will be working with conflicts from the book.
Your task is for your group to discuss and come up with as many
conflicts the characters have encountered so far. You will design a
chart that gives the following information:
  • The conflict

  • What kind of conflict it is?

  • Has the conflict been solved?

  • If it has been solved, how?

  • If it hasn’t been solved, come up with a solution.
Your goal is the information for 5 conflicts. If you complete 5,
continue until time is up.

Your group will need to stay on task so points or points will be
deducted.
All group members must participate.

Have fun and do good work!!

                       Station 5
In this station, you will be designing poems with characters from the
book. The first poem will be a “diamante” and will be created with
the characters Mrs. Simms and Mrs. Cressman. The second poem
will be with Mrs. Harper and Rennie Burgess.

Below is the outline for a diamante poem. Notice the shape of the
poem—yours should look like that as well.

                            Character 1
                2 adjectives describing character 1
3 verbs ending in “ing” telling what character 1 does
2 renaming words for character 1, 2 renaming words for character 2
3 verbs ending in “ing” telling what character 2 does
                2 adjectives describing character 2
                            Character 2
Your group will need to remain on task so points will not be
deducted.
All group members must participate.

Have fun and do good work!!

                      Station 7
In this station, your group will be creating “higher order thinking
skills” questions. You will need to use the question stems on the
desk.
Your goal is to come up with 10 thought provoking questions.
You CANNOT use question stems from the recall category.
If you have completed your 10 questions and time is not up, come
up with more questions.

Your group will need to remain on task so points will not be
deducted.
All group members must participate.
