Persuasive Speech On Domestic Violence
ONE STEP TOWARDS JUSTICE:
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Right now, right at this very instant, a silent war all across the nation is being waged. A violation of
humanity, a crime that is least prosecuted, and a great threat endangering the lives of thousands of
women and children daily. Of course, I am talking about harsh reality of domestic violence. We live
in a time where domestic violence is kept a taboo subject, a shameful secret that shouldn't be let out.
We know it's happening, and even hear or see the events. But who's taking action?
I can stand here and give you a list of statistics about this issue, but is that all it is? A statistic?
Sadly enough, people look at this endless crime as just a figure or percentage, we're shocked at first
but nothing more. So today, I am taking the first step, a step towards justice, a step to end the
struggle, and a step to save our nation.
And yes, I'm not anyone special, I don't study the topic, nor am I a survivor of domestic violence
myself. But I'm here to tell a story. I'm here to make a change. And I'm here to encourage all of you
to do the same.
I'm going to share an experience I had. Something that I've regretted and hated myself for since,
knowing that help could've been sought earlier. A few years back, I was catching up with a family
member and noticed a faint bruise on her face. Naturally, I asked her what had happened but she
just brushed it off, told me it was nothing but a sport injury. Weeks progressed, and the bruises
became worse and worse, but I stop questioning. To me, she still seemed the happy go–lucky girl I
knew and loved, the only difference were these markings. But let me tell you, sometimes the people
who seem happiest, are actually hurting the most. And this was exactly the case. Flashforward a few
months, and her partner was being trialled and charged under the case of domestic abuse.
Although there were so many signs, my ignorance restrained me from helping her help herself.
Needless to say, I was absolutely disgusted. And to this day, I still can't even begin the fathom how
anyone could possibly put their hands on someone they loved. To purposely harm their significant
other and act like everything is fine. And to the victims who have to live

How To Write A Persuasive Essay
Writing essay is one of the things that I used to dislike before. For me, writing an essay was a
difficult and boring thing. However, I change my mind when I was doing the assignment,
"Persuasive Essay". This essay is my first English essay, and it was a quite challenging task for me.
In this assignment , I learned a lot. For example, to use the transition words to connect each
paragraph. Also, to use other writer's words to make my idea be more powerful. Thus, this
assignment improves my writing skills a lot. Before, I didn't know that I have to use the transition
words in an essay. For me, an essay is constituted by many single paragraphs. However, everything
is different when I was doing this assignment, Persuasive Essay. I noticed that every paragraph
should support theme to make an essay stronger. Also, after Ms. Weller marked this assignment, I
learned that using transition words can create a powerful link between my ideas. For example,
using the word, "in addition" , can make two paragraphs connect to each other. It also can make
readers understand the logic of an essay. Therefore, I' ve learned the writing skill which can make
each paragraph be connected from this assignment....show more content...
I really enjoyed it. As I was researching, I also could read other writer's literature. I notice that
using the quote or data can make the theme of an essay be stronger and more persuasive. For
example, I use the quote from Steven Crowder, the author of "TheTop 5 Reasons College May Be
Waste Of Time In 2015", to support my idea, going to college is unnecessary. The quote not only
can make an essay more cogent but also can make readers agree with writer's thinking. Thus, I've
learned to use the quote to make my essay to more

Persuasive Essay On Health Insurance
It was 2008, and I had just arrived in Michigan from Pakistan. After some months, I noticed that I
was having trouble breathing, but I did not have any health insurance at that time. I went to a doctor
from India, so he could speak my native language, Urdu. He diagnosed that I had an asthma attack.
He gave me some medicine and told me "If you think you are going to die then die, but don't go
hospital without insurance." Expensive medical treatments, general health check–ups and
prescription become more accessible with health insurance plans. A strong physical condition is
very important to be successful in life for everyone, but there are some problems with health
coverage: Insurance is very expensive; it is only available through some jobs, Affordable Care Act
or Medicaid. The increasing cost of health care is causing a burden to people in the United States
and benefits are becoming more limited.
It is not only difficult to get the health insurance, but also to keep it. There is a big problem,
however; not every company has benefits of health insurance. Some big companies and
government–based employment provides health coverage for their employees, which is a reason
many full–time workers are able to get health insurance from their work, but many people work
part–time jobs, which do not offer health insurance. Even people have a Medicaid or Affordable
Care Act plan but they still have to pay the high copays and bills. To achieve a healthy life, people
should have access the

Persuasive Essay On Suicide
In today's society, suicide can be a multifaceted issue, sometimes an act of heroism, selfishness,
love, or a brave choice. I am arguing against suicide because it is not a solution to a problem, it
should not even be included as an option. Suicide is simply defined as "the deliberate taking of
one's own life, usually the result of a psychiatric disorder, although sometimes deliberated in the face
of life–threatening physical illness, significant interpersonal stress, or when under the influence of
one or more substances of abuse" (Piotrowski). This topic interests me because of the fact that the
rates are increasing year after year and it can happen to someone close to me at any moment. This
topic should interest you too because someone close to you can show warning signs, which can be
subtle or more discernible. Also if you are reading this as a parent, you should know "suicide is the
third leading cause of death for those between the ages of ten and fourteen, and it is the second
leading cause of death for those ages fifteen to thirty–four" (Goff). Yet the factors that play into a
someone's decision is anything but simple. The most obvious and severe effect of suicide is the loss
of a meaningful, valuable human life. "In the United States in 2013, according to the Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 41,149 individuals committed suicide and approximately
494,169 received medical treatment for self–inflicted injuries. The World Health Organization
(WHO) reported an estimated 800,000 suicides worldwide in 2016, and suicide is the second
leading cause of death among fifteen– to twenty–nine–year–olds worldwide. Women attempt suicide
more often than men, but men complete suicide more often than women because men tend to use
more lethal means, such as a firearm" (Piotrowski). With suicide rates on a continuous rise in
America, society must ask what can be done to save lives.
The main argument against suicide is that it is selfish, which is true. By you killing yourself, it
causes a lot of pain to those left behind, like your family, loved ones, friends, etc. They tend to
blame themselves for your death. Even if you feel like nobody in the whole world cares about you,
you are wrong. When you think

Persuasive Essay On Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a serious problem in modern society. In fact, the United Nations has referred to
it as "one of the gravest human rights violations of our times" ("Secretary – General Calls Human
Trafficking"). It is a fast growing industry that affects millions. No gender, age, or status is spared
from the cruelty that is trafficking. To stress this point again, human trafficking is not just a problem
of the "world" or "United States", in general. As previously seen, it strikes very close to home,
affecting hundreds of men, women, and children of our own community. In fact, "North Carolina
ranked as a top–10 state for human trafficking with Charlotte being the top destination. It is
estimated that more than 1,700 girls are trafficked...show more content...
One of the first questions that some may ask is, "why education?" Why is education an effective way
to fight against human trafficking? Well, the answer has to do with prevention. Frederick Douglass,
one of the foremost African American abolitionist and social reformer, wrote, "Knowledge makes a
man unfit to be a slave" (Douglass 33). When he said these words, Douglass was, of course, not
speaking specifically about human trafficking. He was discussing the enslavement of African
Americans, more specifically his personal encounters with it. Education, at this time, helped him to
cope and eventually free himself from slavery. An educated person is aware and, therefore, less
susceptible to exploitation. This same principle can be applied to the human trafficking dilemma.
Educating people about the realities of this crime, as well as how they can protect themselves gives
them a powerful tool of defense. It has been noted that traffickers often target individuals who are in
great distress, are unfamiliar with the environment, or the trade ("The Victims & Traffickers"). A
lack of information makes for an easy target, which we must prevent. Educating children, as well as
others, who may be susceptible to trafficking and exploitation, gives them a tool of defense, enabling
them to recognize when trafficking is taking place and how to handle it.
Furthermore, education is a key element to eliminating common misconceptions that often thwart
efforts to

Persuasive Essay
"Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be
graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics," announced Mr.
Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously
groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and
about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose
and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already
rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death
penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly
making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line.
I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a
tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk.
Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such
desperate times, my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that awaffle
was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward
to your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked
everyone the age old question: "Do you like

Persuasive Essay On Mandatory Vaccination
Vaccinations; it's an intimidating word. Imagine your child being stabbed with needles containing
diseases just because your pediatrician said it helps. While a good portion of the audience here
today can understand this issue, my question is why are vaccinations such a problem? More
specifically, what are the altercations of religious exemptions to vaccines? While it seems to be a
personal issue, the choice to or not to vaccinate affects the lives of everyone in your community. All
I ask is that you keep an open mind and listen to the information I will present today in hopes that
you will better understand vaccinations and the necessity for mandatory vaccination. While the
anti–vaccination movement appears to be a present issue, it has roots in 1866 England. Immediately
following the formation of The Parliament of England Compulsory Vaccination Act, anti
–smallpox
propaganda spread. The argument against mandatory vaccination was it was a way, "to steal away
our medical liberties one by one," (Cawkwell). To have a more unified message, they formed the
Anti–Compulsory Vaccination League. In four years it had about 10,000 members (Cawkwell).
Pamphlets and periodicals were published throughout Britain to illuminate the issue of mandatory
vaccination.
Following in America, mandatory vaccination was not a national issue until the 1980s. Mandatory
vaccination stayed on a school by school basis prominently in the New England area. Massachusetts
was the first state to enact

Have you ever wondered how the world has had the benefit of living ten years longer or why the
cost of medical treatment has raised thousands a dollar a year per person? It may be based on the
fact that Medical technologies have come a long way in the last few eras, from the way that we
gain information to what it costs to get healthcare. In hopes that this will help many of our clients
to understand what has happened in the past as well as what is occurring now I will share some
of these advances with you. When one enters a doctor's office we see everyone with cell phones,

WHY BOTHER TO VOTE
Introduction:
Ever since this country was established citizens have fought for a right that often is not exercised
by today's youth; along with many others. This right that I speak of is the right to vote. In the
beginning one had to be a white male landowner in order to receive this right. However through the
years and many trying battles all citizens of the US that are 18 years and older have earned this right.
Votingis something that many of us take for granted and do not realize the great importance of this
right and our duty to do so. Your votes do effect not only the national elections but everyelection

iii. However, when state legislators opened suffrage allowing all white males to vote, at the same
time they closed the door that previously allowed white woman of great economic status to vote
were closed iv. Discrimination towards blacks also kept them from voting in the early stages of this
new democracy, and again doors that were once open were slammed shut for people of color. v.
Through protesting and addition of the 15th, 19th, 24th, and the 26th amendment the doors for
all American citizens were open to cast their ballots II. What your vote does and how it affects
every aspect of our lives is really very simple to do, but rather quite important. A. Voting is an
important part of our democratic process. It is a chance, for every eligible person to influence the
policies that affect our lives on a daily basis. i. With only a simple mark on a ballot, voting lets us
decide who our representatives will be and what our future will look like. ii. We also vote on
school mileages, to decide whether or not to increase our property taxes, to support programs within
our local schools. iii. These programs may include bussing issues, sporting events, the remodeling of
a school, or

Writing A Persuasive Essay
It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good
essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a
passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I
have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with
an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of
school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of
passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First
things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless...show more content...
You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds
the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job
to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a
bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this
essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there
reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot
before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here,
this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In
the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered
this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you
finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. Or you did it last minute,
reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point

Persuasive Essay On The Internet
It can be considered as one of the most valuable types of technology. During the last several years
we have come to be more and more dependent on the Internet and in particular moving huge chunks
of data across large distances. The Internet allows people to communicate with each other across the
world within mere fractions of seconds with the help of E–mail and Messenger. The Internet also
allows for expressing opinions and obtaining up–to–date information from the world–wide–web. The
new software is being developed every day which uses the Internet as the carrier for long distance
voice calls and video conferencing like FaceTime and Skype, which would hold the key to the future
of our society. Whether someone is sending e–mail, posting on message boards, or reading the news
online, people are guaranteed the same freedom of self–expression that we enjoy offline. In other
countries, the mere act of accessing websites that criticize the government is an offense that can land
you in prison. Australia, similar to the United States, perceives and ensures a person's freedom of
expression. Although, they have an alternate view on what is appropriate on the Internet. Australia
has taken the position to confine adults privilege of the right to speak freely on the Internet, in order
to avoid children for getting material that is esteemed unsuitable for minors. However, it also averts
content considered "objectionable" to be uploaded on the internet, in this manner limiting the right

Persuasive Essay On Nature
Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we
consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as
other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this
disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of
taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the
alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of
humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today.
As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David
Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about
these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that
address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school
day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still
found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my
former Business class. Even when I step inside the door of my house, the disconnection from nature
is apparent. Most of my time at home is spent looking at a screen and doing homework and the only
sign of nature would be the fly

Persuasive Essay On Online School
Should online school continue? What is so wonderful that it presents? So many students are turning
to digital courses for their education, leaving many people frazzled, chin rubbing, blatantly seeking
why? As shown through a recent study conducted in early 2016, one in four students take an online
course, and the numbers are increasing. Online schools are growing in popularity, causing numerous
amounts of schools to turn to internet–based courses. Why? Despite how some may argue that it's
harder for students to receive help and more challenging, in an online school, students are taught
how to have self reliance, be their own cheerleader and they present a larger variety of options to
learn from. Via this, online schooling is an effective system and should continue. To launch off,
there will always be people who argue that it's harder for students to work with an online
school."Online schooling will always have it's critics." (Barker); regardless, this doesn't mean that
it's a terrible–death at every corner–curriculum. Similar to any movie, many people will enjoy or
love it well others ferociously abhor it–there is no in–between. Furthermore, online school is an
effective system through the easy access (teachers are online, other sources for help, it can be
mobile, etc.) for it's students as well as the seemingly unlimited sources of knowledge. Since it is
taught online, the teachers have more data to work with that public school's do not. This gives the
teachers a chance

Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been
evolving, there are changes that have made schooling harder, and some changes that have made
schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and their
own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make
learning more convenient, or are they unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more
problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the reason,
that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research.
During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade
twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads. Many students, throughout the long school
days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they
just don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their
fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to check out a laptop you have to leave your
phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of
the iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience
to them.
Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my

Persuasive Essay On Daycare
Leaving your child with someone else as you head off to work every day is not easy: As a parent,
chances are, you long to be with your child 24/7. This is especially true for new parents. However,
once maternity leave has ended, even mom must return to work. While there are several child care
options available, one of the best options available is daycare. That said, choosing the daycare center
that suits the needs of your family best will require a bit of research.
Choosing a Daycare Provider: What Parents Need to Know
Some daycare providers have licensed caregivers. These licensed caregivers receive special training
to ensure the children are given exceptional care.
10 Signs of a Good Daycare Provider
1. A Stimulating Environment
When you...show more content...
Are the toys provided age–appropriate and in good shape? Ask about daily activities: These
activities should include talking, singing, dancing, reading and on–the–floor playtime.
2. Security
Any daycare that you choose should have a locked door policy. This ensures that your child cannot
just roam around the neighborhood. Ideally, only staff members, individuals touring the facility and
adults who are dropping off or picking up their children should be allowed in the center. All adult
visitors need to be closely monitored, including you!
3. Age–Group Separation
Toddlers and older children should not be mingling with babies who are under the age of
12–months. Toddlers can be highly–spirited and somewhat unsteady on their feet. In addition, they
have yet to master the art of being gentle with infants.
4. A Clean, Healthy Setting
Look for a health and sanitation rules sign. This sign should address hand washing procedures
related to food preparation and diaper changes. Additionally, it should outline the steps taken to wash
and sanitize toys, feeding utensils, and pacifiers, etc.
5. A Safe Setting
Make sure there are:

Persuasive Essay About Teen Pregnancy
Teen pregnancy......what comes in mind when you hear the words "Teen Pregnancy"? Well, teen
pregnancy are young female girls that become pregnant under the age of 20. A female can become
pregnant from having sexual intercourse and after she have started to ovulate. Young female girls
will become pregnant without even thinking about the consequences and the type of environment
the baby will be in. Not because the young mother is poor or rich, but because they're not ready to
take care of another human being. Not to mention, pregnant teens are young themselves, so their also
growing. There are plenty of problems that are the cause of teen pregnancy, and many of those
problems can be solved.
One reason for teen pregnancy is the lack of information that is given to students in middle and high
school about sex and how to prevent it from happening. Also, the lack amount of talks from parents
that they can give to their teen. I wouldn't say there isn't any education given out to students about
sex, but there isn't ENOUGH to make pre–teens and teens to fully understand and have the right
mind set about sex. Many schools won't really focus on the topic about teen pregnancy because it
really doesn't have much about academics and that's really understandable, but at the end of the day
teens are also human and do make mistakes. I believe schools should give education about teen
pregnancy as much as the other subjects. The topic of teen pregnancy shouldn't be left out because
talking to your teen about sex can definitely influence their lifestyle. Many teens would learn about
sex in the streets which it totally horrible because 9/10, the streets will educate them to have sex
rather than not to. The solution to this problem is that parents and schools should educate their teens
/students with more education about teen pregnancy, so that the number pregnant teens can decrease
in near future.
Another reason for teen pregnancy is social media. Social media can have a huge impact on how
teens can view their lives by influencing them with a different kind of lifestyle. Not to mention,
teens can easily be brainwashed by what they see on there and think what they see on social media
is good, is actually wrong. Social media will have

Persuasive Speech On Homework
Being a kid is not easy, trying to juggle sports, school, and a social life is stressful and time
consuming. We have lives outside of the classroom and keeping track of our work is very
difficult, but there are ways to help keep the two balanced. Here are some helpful ways to keep
your school life managed and still have a productive lifestyle. I've been in school for a little while
now and one of the things I dreaded the most was the teacher saying "Your homework for tonight
is..."Hearing those words just ruined my mood. However, homework may not be the most
enjoyable thing in the world it is important. It's 10% of your grade but also allows to practice
more on what you're learning. Once you get home, homework should be the first thing on your
mind so you can just get it out of the way. When working on homework you should definitely turn
off all electronic devices so it won't get in the way of you focusing. Another thing that could be
distracting is family. As much fun as family might be, having someone there when you're trying
to do classwork could get you really off topic. I have a cousin who I definitely adore and we are
super close but once we get to talking there is just no stopping us. Keeping a distance from them
will keep you on task and you will also get your work done faster. Once that is out of the way you
can have all the time to socialize. Ever been so stressed out about a test before? Well guess what,
you're not alone. Test and exams are so stressful and sometimes they could either make or break
your grade. Having that kind of pressure put on you doesn't feel good but there are ways you can
prep and not be so freaked out. A key thing that goes along with studying is the same with
homework, turn off all devices that have nothing to do with school. For instances phones, with all
this new social media coming out all you want do is snapchat friends and see what they are doing.
That'll distract you from studying. Besides devices being shut down, having something calm and
relaxing playing can help the brain focus more and do better. Playing classical music or maybe
sounds of nature will be soothing. I know when I study it could feel like I've been studying forever
and nothing is

Persuasive Essay On Choices In Life
I believe that everyone in this life has choices. The choices we make define who we are as people
and what we stand for. Choosing one path over another may be the best or worst decision you
could ever make. However, once you have chosen, stick to your decision because you made that
choice for a reason. Even if it is to have lunch at a certain restaurant over another, or a bigger
decision like choosing your major. Something in your life helped you make that decision, and the
worst thing you can do is live your life with the regret of a choice. If your decision ends up badly,
simply make another choice. Choose a new path. In the words of my oh so wise History teacher,
"Never second guess yourself because that's worse than making the wrong choice in the end."
One of the best examples that comes to mind is a story I heard a few weeks ago, based on a real
event. In 1979, a man named Lee Strobel and his family went to a restaurant one evening and he
gave his 7 year old daughter a nickel to get a gumball from the machine and a few moments later,
she came back to the table choking on the gum. They didn't know what to do and if they waited
for an ambulance they feared it would be too late. All of a sudden, a woman came up and said
that she is a nurse and can help. The woman, after getting the gumball out of the little girl, told her
parents that her and her husband were headed to another restaurant when all of a sudden she made
a last minute choice to go here. Because of her choice, a little girl's life was saved. Hearing stories
such as this one, reminds me of all of the choices I have made, and how they have affected me.
When I was 6, my family up and moved to a new school called Knox County. I loved it there for I
had so many friends and nothing bad ever happened. Then at the end of 5th grade, my dad got a
new job so we moved schools again. This time I was 11 and starting middle school at a small
school called Pilot Grove, and I've been here ever since. There are times I catch myself wondering
what would've happened if we had stayed in Knox or the first town I ever lived in, Philadelphia (no

religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for
everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It"
encourages its audience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it
happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which
include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun
(Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed
the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am
also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as
confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to
work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive.
By delivering Eric Thomas's speech in his unique hip

One Step Towards Justice: Ending Domestic Violence

  • 1. Persuasive Speech On Domestic Violence ONE STEP TOWARDS JUSTICE: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE Right now, right at this very instant, a silent war all across the nation is being waged. A violation of humanity, a crime that is least prosecuted, and a great threat endangering the lives of thousands of women and children daily. Of course, I am talking about harsh reality of domestic violence. We live in a time where domestic violence is kept a taboo subject, a shameful secret that shouldn't be let out. We know it's happening, and even hear or see the events. But who's taking action? I can stand here and give you a list of statistics about this issue, but is that all it is? A statistic? Sadly enough, people look at this endless crime as just a figure or percentage, we're shocked at first but nothing more. So today, I am taking the first step, a step towards justice, a step to end the struggle, and a step to save our nation. And yes, I'm not anyone special, I don't study the topic, nor am I a survivor of domestic violence myself. But I'm here to tell a story. I'm here to make a change. And I'm here to encourage all of you to do the same. I'm going to share an experience I had. Something that I've regretted and hated myself for since, knowing that help could've been sought earlier. A few years back, I was catching up with a family member and noticed a faint bruise on her face. Naturally, I asked her what had happened but she just brushed it off, told me it was nothing but a sport injury. Weeks progressed, and the bruises became worse and worse, but I stop questioning. To me, she still seemed the happy go–lucky girl I knew and loved, the only difference were these markings. But let me tell you, sometimes the people who seem happiest, are actually hurting the most. And this was exactly the case. Flashforward a few months, and her partner was being trialled and charged under the case of domestic abuse. Although there were so many signs, my ignorance restrained me from helping her help herself. Needless to say, I was absolutely disgusted. And to this day, I still can't even begin the fathom how anyone could possibly put their hands on someone they loved. To purposely harm their significant other and act like everything is fine. And to the victims who have to live Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. How To Write A Persuasive Essay Writing essay is one of the things that I used to dislike before. For me, writing an essay was a difficult and boring thing. However, I change my mind when I was doing the assignment, "Persuasive Essay". This essay is my first English essay, and it was a quite challenging task for me. In this assignment , I learned a lot. For example, to use the transition words to connect each paragraph. Also, to use other writer's words to make my idea be more powerful. Thus, this assignment improves my writing skills a lot. Before, I didn't know that I have to use the transition words in an essay. For me, an essay is constituted by many single paragraphs. However, everything is different when I was doing this assignment, Persuasive Essay. I noticed that every paragraph should support theme to make an essay stronger. Also, after Ms. Weller marked this assignment, I learned that using transition words can create a powerful link between my ideas. For example, using the word, "in addition" , can make two paragraphs connect to each other. It also can make readers understand the logic of an essay. Therefore, I' ve learned the writing skill which can make each paragraph be connected from this assignment....show more content... I really enjoyed it. As I was researching, I also could read other writer's literature. I notice that using the quote or data can make the theme of an essay be stronger and more persuasive. For example, I use the quote from Steven Crowder, the author of "TheTop 5 Reasons College May Be Waste Of Time In 2015", to support my idea, going to college is unnecessary. The quote not only can make an essay more cogent but also can make readers agree with writer's thinking. Thus, I've learned to use the quote to make my essay to more Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Persuasive Essay On Health Insurance It was 2008, and I had just arrived in Michigan from Pakistan. After some months, I noticed that I was having trouble breathing, but I did not have any health insurance at that time. I went to a doctor from India, so he could speak my native language, Urdu. He diagnosed that I had an asthma attack. He gave me some medicine and told me "If you think you are going to die then die, but don't go hospital without insurance." Expensive medical treatments, general health check–ups and prescription become more accessible with health insurance plans. A strong physical condition is very important to be successful in life for everyone, but there are some problems with health coverage: Insurance is very expensive; it is only available through some jobs, Affordable Care Act or Medicaid. The increasing cost of health care is causing a burden to people in the United States and benefits are becoming more limited. It is not only difficult to get the health insurance, but also to keep it. There is a big problem, however; not every company has benefits of health insurance. Some big companies and government–based employment provides health coverage for their employees, which is a reason many full–time workers are able to get health insurance from their work, but many people work part–time jobs, which do not offer health insurance. Even people have a Medicaid or Affordable Care Act plan but they still have to pay the high copays and bills. To achieve a healthy life, people should have access the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Persuasive Essay On Suicide In today's society, suicide can be a multifaceted issue, sometimes an act of heroism, selfishness, love, or a brave choice. I am arguing against suicide because it is not a solution to a problem, it should not even be included as an option. Suicide is simply defined as "the deliberate taking of one's own life, usually the result of a psychiatric disorder, although sometimes deliberated in the face of life–threatening physical illness, significant interpersonal stress, or when under the influence of one or more substances of abuse" (Piotrowski). This topic interests me because of the fact that the rates are increasing year after year and it can happen to someone close to me at any moment. This topic should interest you too because someone close to you can show warning signs, which can be subtle or more discernible. Also if you are reading this as a parent, you should know "suicide is the third leading cause of death for those between the ages of ten and fourteen, and it is the second leading cause of death for those ages fifteen to thirty–four" (Goff). Yet the factors that play into a someone's decision is anything but simple. The most obvious and severe effect of suicide is the loss of a meaningful, valuable human life. "In the United States in 2013, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 41,149 individuals committed suicide and approximately 494,169 received medical treatment for self–inflicted injuries. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported an estimated 800,000 suicides worldwide in 2016, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among fifteen– to twenty–nine–year–olds worldwide. Women attempt suicide more often than men, but men complete suicide more often than women because men tend to use more lethal means, such as a firearm" (Piotrowski). With suicide rates on a continuous rise in America, society must ask what can be done to save lives. The main argument against suicide is that it is selfish, which is true. By you killing yourself, it causes a lot of pain to those left behind, like your family, loved ones, friends, etc. They tend to blame themselves for your death. Even if you feel like nobody in the whole world cares about you, you are wrong. When you think Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Essay On Human Trafficking Human trafficking is a serious problem in modern society. In fact, the United Nations has referred to it as "one of the gravest human rights violations of our times" ("Secretary – General Calls Human Trafficking"). It is a fast growing industry that affects millions. No gender, age, or status is spared from the cruelty that is trafficking. To stress this point again, human trafficking is not just a problem of the "world" or "United States", in general. As previously seen, it strikes very close to home, affecting hundreds of men, women, and children of our own community. In fact, "North Carolina ranked as a top–10 state for human trafficking with Charlotte being the top destination. It is estimated that more than 1,700 girls are trafficked...show more content... One of the first questions that some may ask is, "why education?" Why is education an effective way to fight against human trafficking? Well, the answer has to do with prevention. Frederick Douglass, one of the foremost African American abolitionist and social reformer, wrote, "Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave" (Douglass 33). When he said these words, Douglass was, of course, not speaking specifically about human trafficking. He was discussing the enslavement of African Americans, more specifically his personal encounters with it. Education, at this time, helped him to cope and eventually free himself from slavery. An educated person is aware and, therefore, less susceptible to exploitation. This same principle can be applied to the human trafficking dilemma. Educating people about the realities of this crime, as well as how they can protect themselves gives them a powerful tool of defense. It has been noted that traffickers often target individuals who are in great distress, are unfamiliar with the environment, or the trade ("The Victims & Traffickers"). A lack of information makes for an easy target, which we must prevent. Educating children, as well as others, who may be susceptible to trafficking and exploitation, gives them a tool of defense, enabling them to recognize when trafficking is taking place and how to handle it. Furthermore, education is a key element to eliminating common misconceptions that often thwart efforts to Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Persuasive Essay "Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics," announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. "What is your topic Cindy?" As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. "Waffles are better than pancakes." I figured that awaffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. "Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!" I survived to live yet another day. As I walked to lunch, I went around and asked everyone the age old question: "Do you like Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Persuasive Essay On Mandatory Vaccination Vaccinations; it's an intimidating word. Imagine your child being stabbed with needles containing diseases just because your pediatrician said it helps. While a good portion of the audience here today can understand this issue, my question is why are vaccinations such a problem? More specifically, what are the altercations of religious exemptions to vaccines? While it seems to be a personal issue, the choice to or not to vaccinate affects the lives of everyone in your community. All I ask is that you keep an open mind and listen to the information I will present today in hopes that you will better understand vaccinations and the necessity for mandatory vaccination. While the anti–vaccination movement appears to be a present issue, it has roots in 1866 England. Immediately following the formation of The Parliament of England Compulsory Vaccination Act, anti –smallpox propaganda spread. The argument against mandatory vaccination was it was a way, "to steal away our medical liberties one by one," (Cawkwell). To have a more unified message, they formed the Anti–Compulsory Vaccination League. In four years it had about 10,000 members (Cawkwell). Pamphlets and periodicals were published throughout Britain to illuminate the issue of mandatory vaccination. Following in America, mandatory vaccination was not a national issue until the 1980s. Mandatory vaccination stayed on a school by school basis prominently in the New England area. Massachusetts was the first state to enact Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Medical Persuasive Essay Have you ever wondered how the world has had the benefit of living ten years longer or why the cost of medical treatment has raised thousands a dollar a year per person? It may be based on the fact that Medical technologies have come a long way in the last few eras, from the way that we gain information to what it costs to get healthcare. In hopes that this will help many of our clients to understand what has happened in the past as well as what is occurring now I will share some of these advances with you. When one enters a doctor's office we see everyone with cell phones, laptops or even a tablet of some type, does this annoy you? • 9. Persuasive Speech Essay Persuasive Speech WHY BOTHER TO VOTE Introduction: Ever since this country was established citizens have fought for a right that often is not exercised by today's youth; along with many others. This right that I speak of is the right to vote. In the beginning one had to be a white male landowner in order to receive this right. However through the years and many trying battles all citizens of the US that are 18 years and older have earned this right. Votingis something that many of us take for granted and do not realize the great importance of this right and our duty to do so. Your votes do effect not only the national elections but everyelection you choose to cast a vote in; such as school elections, along with the people that...show more content... iii. However, when state legislators opened suffrage allowing all white males to vote, at the same time they closed the door that previously allowed white woman of great economic status to vote were closed iv. Discrimination towards blacks also kept them from voting in the early stages of this new democracy, and again doors that were once open were slammed shut for people of color. v. Through protesting and addition of the 15th, 19th, 24th, and the 26th amendment the doors for all American citizens were open to cast their ballots II. What your vote does and how it affects every aspect of our lives is really very simple to do, but rather quite important. A. Voting is an important part of our democratic process. It is a chance, for every eligible person to influence the policies that affect our lives on a daily basis. i. With only a simple mark on a ballot, voting lets us decide who our representatives will be and what our future will look like. ii. We also vote on school mileages, to decide whether or not to increase our property taxes, to support programs within our local schools. iii. • 10. Writing A Persuasive Essay It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless...show more content... You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here, this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. Or you did it last minute, reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Essay On The Internet It can be considered as one of the most valuable types of technology. During the last several years we have come to be more and more dependent on the Internet and in particular moving huge chunks of data across large distances. The Internet allows people to communicate with each other across the world within mere fractions of seconds with the help of E–mail and Messenger. The Internet also allows for expressing opinions and obtaining up–to–date information from the world–wide–web. The new software is being developed every day which uses the Internet as the carrier for long distance voice calls and video conferencing like FaceTime and Skype, which would hold the key to the future of our society. Whether someone is sending e–mail, posting on message boards, or reading the news online, people are guaranteed the same freedom of self–expression that we enjoy offline. In other countries, the mere act of accessing websites that criticize the government is an offense that can land you in prison. Australia, similar to the United States, perceives and ensures a person's freedom of expression. Although, they have an alternate view on what is appropriate on the Internet. Australia has taken the position to confine adults privilege of the right to speak freely on the Internet, in order to avoid children for getting material that is esteemed unsuitable for minors. However, it also averts content considered "objectionable" to be uploaded on the internet, in this manner limiting the right Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Persuasive Essay On Nature Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today. As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my former Business class. Even when I step inside the door of my house, the disconnection from nature is apparent. Most of my time at home is spent looking at a screen and doing homework and the only sign of nature would be the fly Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Persuasive Essay On Online School Should online school continue? What is so wonderful that it presents? So many students are turning to digital courses for their education, leaving many people frazzled, chin rubbing, blatantly seeking why? As shown through a recent study conducted in early 2016, one in four students take an online course, and the numbers are increasing. Online schools are growing in popularity, causing numerous amounts of schools to turn to internet–based courses. Why? Despite how some may argue that it's harder for students to receive help and more challenging, in an online school, students are taught how to have self reliance, be their own cheerleader and they present a larger variety of options to learn from. Via this, online schooling is an effective system and should continue. To launch off, there will always be people who argue that it's harder for students to work with an online school."Online schooling will always have it's critics." (Barker); regardless, this doesn't mean that it's a terrible–death at every corner–curriculum. Similar to any movie, many people will enjoy or love it well others ferociously abhor it–there is no in–between. Furthermore, online school is an effective system through the easy access (teachers are online, other sources for help, it can be mobile, etc.) for it's students as well as the seemingly unlimited sources of knowledge. Since it is taught online, the teachers have more data to work with that public school's do not. This gives the teachers a chance Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Persuasive Essay Schools have been using the same learning techniques for a long time. Since technology has been evolving, there are changes that have made schooling harder, and some changes that have made schooling easier. For example, instead of using paper and pencil students now have iPads and their own laptops to do their school work on. Are these more advanced changes for the better, and make learning more convenient, or are they unfavorable and make schooling complicated and more problematic? Most examples lead to the conclusion that laptops are more convenient. for the reason, that they make school work easier and generate easy access to sites for research. During the beginning of my Highschool career everybody was given an iPad; grade six to grade twelve. However not everybody is fond of the iPads. Many students, throughout the long school days, have come up to the library to check out a laptop because they either "lost" their iPad, or they just don't want to use it. Many students have tried to check out laptops even when they have their fully functioning iPads, so now whenever you want to check out a laptop you have to leave your phone for collaboration. In almost every class teachers use the iPads, but not all teachers are fond of the iPads either. Some teachers continue to use paper and pencil because it's more of a convenience to them. Laptops are more convenient for me to use because of the classes I'm currently taking. Such as my CIS comp, CIS world history, and my Get more content on HelpWriting.net

This is especially true for new parents. However, once maternity leave has ended, even mom must return to work. While there are several child care options available, one of the best options available is daycare. That said, choosing the daycare center that suits the needs of your family best will require a bit of research. Are the toys provided age–appropriate and in good shape? Ask about daily activities: These activities should include talking, singing, dancing, reading and on–the–floor playtime. 2. Security Any daycare that you choose should have a locked door policy. This ensures that your child cannot just roam around the neighborhood. Ideally, only staff members, individuals touring the facility and adults who are dropping off or picking up their children should be allowed in the center. All adult visitors need to be closely monitored, including you! 3. Age–Group Separation Toddlers and older children should not be mingling with babies who are under the age of 12–months. Toddlers can be highly–spirited and somewhat unsteady on their feet. In addition, they have yet to master the art of being gentle with infants. 4. A Clean, Healthy Setting Look for a health and sanitation rules sign. This sign should address hand washing procedures related to food preparation and diaper changes. Additionally, it should outline the steps taken to wash and sanitize toys, feeding utensils, and pacifiers, etc. 5. A Safe Setting Make sure there are: Gates blocking stairways No choking

  • 17. Persuasive Essay About Teen Pregnancy Teen pregnancy......what comes in mind when you hear the words "Teen Pregnancy"? Well, teen pregnancy are young female girls that become pregnant under the age of 20. A female can become pregnant from having sexual intercourse and after she have started to ovulate. Young female girls will become pregnant without even thinking about the consequences and the type of environment the baby will be in. Not because the young mother is poor or rich, but because they're not ready to take care of another human being. Not to mention, pregnant teens are young themselves, so their also growing. There are plenty of problems that are the cause of teen pregnancy, and many of those problems can be solved. One reason for teen pregnancy is the lack of information that is given to students in middle and high school about sex and how to prevent it from happening. Also, the lack amount of talks from parents that they can give to their teen. I wouldn't say there isn't any education given out to students about sex, but there isn't ENOUGH to make pre–teens and teens to fully understand and have the right mind set about sex. Many schools won't really focus on the topic about teen pregnancy because it really doesn't have much about academics and that's really understandable, but at the end of the day teens are also human and do make mistakes. I believe schools should give education about teen pregnancy as much as the other subjects. The topic of teen pregnancy shouldn't be left out because talking to your teen about sex can definitely influence their lifestyle. Many teens would learn about sex in the streets which it totally horrible because 9/10, the streets will educate them to have sex rather than not to. The solution to this problem is that parents and schools should educate their teens /students with more education about teen pregnancy, so that the number pregnant teens can decrease in near future. Another reason for teen pregnancy is social media. Social media can have a huge impact on how teens can view their lives by influencing them with a different kind of lifestyle. Not to mention, teens can easily be brainwashed by what they see on there and think what they see on social media is good, is actually wrong. Social media will have Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. Persuasive Speech On Homework Being a kid is not easy, trying to juggle sports, school, and a social life is stressful and time consuming. We have lives outside of the classroom and keeping track of our work is very difficult, but there are ways to help keep the two balanced. Here are some helpful ways to keep your school life managed and still have a productive lifestyle. I've been in school for a little while now and one of the things I dreaded the most was the teacher saying "Your homework for tonight is..."Hearing those words just ruined my mood. However, homework may not be the most enjoyable thing in the world it is important. It's 10% of your grade but also allows to practice more on what you're learning. Once you get home, homework should be the first thing on your mind so you can just get it out of the way. When working on homework you should definitely turn off all electronic devices so it won't get in the way of you focusing. Another thing that could be distracting is family. As much fun as family might be, having someone there when you're trying to do classwork could get you really off topic. I have a cousin who I definitely adore and we are super close but once we get to talking there is just no stopping us. Keeping a distance from them will keep you on task and you will also get your work done faster. Once that is out of the way you can have all the time to socialize. Ever been so stressed out about a test before? Well guess what, you're not alone. Test and exams are so stressful and sometimes they could either make or break your grade. Having that kind of pressure put on you doesn't feel good but there are ways you can prep and not be so freaked out. A key thing that goes along with studying is the same with homework, turn off all devices that have nothing to do with school. For instances phones, with all this new social media coming out all you want do is snapchat friends and see what they are doing. That'll distract you from studying. Besides devices being shut down, having something calm and relaxing playing can help the brain focus more and do better. Playing classical music or maybe sounds of nature will be soothing. I know when I study it could feel like I've been studying forever and nothing is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Persuasive Essay On Choices In Life I believe that everyone in this life has choices. The choices we make define who we are as people and what we stand for. Choosing one path over another may be the best or worst decision you could ever make. However, once you have chosen, stick to your decision because you made that choice for a reason. Even if it is to have lunch at a certain restaurant over another, or a bigger decision like choosing your major. Something in your life helped you make that decision, and the worst thing you can do is live your life with the regret of a choice. If your decision ends up badly, simply make another choice. Choose a new path. In the words of my oh so wise History teacher, "Never second guess yourself because that's worse than making the wrong choice in the end." One of the best examples that comes to mind is a story I heard a few weeks ago, based on a real event. In 1979, a man named Lee Strobel and his family went to a restaurant one evening and he gave his 7 year old daughter a nickel to get a gumball from the machine and a few moments later, she came back to the table choking on the gum. They didn't know what to do and if they waited for an ambulance they feared it would be too late. All of a sudden, a woman came up and said that she is a nurse and can help. The woman, after getting the gumball out of the little girl, told her parents that her and her husband were headed to another restaurant when all of a sudden she made a last minute choice to go here. Because of her choice, a little girl's life was saved. Hearing stories such as this one, reminds me of all of the choices I have made, and how they have affected me. When I was 6, my family up and moved to a new school called Knox County. I loved it there for I had so many friends and nothing bad ever happened. Then at the end of 5th grade, my dad got a new job so we moved schools again. This time I was 11 and starting middle school at a small school called Pilot Grove, and I've been here ever since. There are times I catch myself wondering what would've happened if we had stayed in Knox or the first town I ever lived in, Philadelphia (no not the one in Pennsylvania). Sometimes I even believe that things would be a lot better if we had stayed there. There are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Persuasive Essay On Success Goals, something every human being on this planet has and to reach those goals you must be successful. We set goals to fulfill our purpose in life, but to do that, you must be successful in meeting and completing those goals. "How Bad Do You Want It?" is a motivational speech that highlights the requirements of being successful. This speech is important to study because success is so vital and important for our survival as human beings, it changes the world. No matter your race, religion, culture, etc., you want to be successful and that will have a different definition for everyone, because only you can define what success means to you. "How Bad Do You Want It" encourages its audience to think differently about wanting to be successful and how to make it happen. This speech holds all the components Aristotle says a speech needs to be effective which include, persuasive, decorative, and informational, also meaning motivational, actionable, and fun (Morgan, 2016). While watching the football player perform each exercise repeatedly, I witnessed the effort and dedication he exerted through each set – this commitment resonated with me, as I am also an athlete who is expected to elicit these qualities. Not only hay, the video serves as confirmation that success is only attainable for those who want it bad enough and are willing to work for it. Even the background music playing provoked an internal motivation to be proactive. By delivering Eric Thomas's speech in his unique hip Get more content on HelpWriting.net
