Coca Cola Scholarship
The Coca–Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship provided me with $1000.00 to be used for
educational expenses while completing my Associate Degrees. Academic achievement and
leadership potential, among other factors, determined my eligibility for this award. Because of this
scholarship, I am able to afford to go to school for another year to finish my degrees. I am thankful
to have been honored with the Coca–Cola Leaders of Promise Scholarship, as it has made a
significant impact on my college success.

Community Leadership Scholarship Essay
I would be grateful to be considered for one of your twenty TD scholarships for community
leadership. Kindly allow me to introduce myself. I am a dedicated, hard–working student who
believes it is important to commit oneself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity in
improving my own community's quality of life by doing volunteer work. I am currently in my last
year at Ajax high school, and upon my successful completion of this chapter in my life, I will be
receiving a post–secondary education. My goal is to pursue a career in the field of education,
specializing in special needs. This has been my passions from my early teen years; a passion, I
believe, has stemmed from by brother's autism diagnosis.
My community service is very diverse,...show more content...
At Ajax high school, I have volunteered in various departments. This involvement has equipped
me with a tremendous amount of leadership skills. I am a member of the general council. I also
volunteered in assisting the drama department in last year's musical. Through this job I painted
sets and helped make props for the actors to use. I enjoyed helping this department presenting this
play because I see first hand how even the smallest tasks can elevate a simple school play to a
dramatic masterpiece. My contribution brought me great joy. Alongside with assisting the
musical, I have volunteered, to helping my school tech crew. I was also involved in a
kindergarten graduation. Although I do not consider myself "Techy", I felt it was important to get
involved in my school, so I made myself available and surprised myself into what a contributed. It
was a great success. In addition, I have volunteered I my school's after school program and helping
with events that are held, for example, Grade 9 day. This was the first day of high school for those
coming from junior school. We meet the new freshmen and make myself available to them if they or
their parent needed assistance.
As I progress throughout life I know I will always be involved in community service because of
the rewarding experiences. Not just because I think it is important, but because it is something I
enjoy doing and look forward to. I love bringing joy to others and

Golf Scholarship Essay
When I was thirteen years old, my dad introduced me to golf. I have been hooked on to it ever
since. I play golf for my high school and I am hoping to get a golf scholarship to somewhere when
I graduate. My coach at the beach told me that the best way to get a scholarship is to play in
summer tournaments around my area. I made the cut in the last tournament I played which was a
qualifying tournament to go to Charleston for what they call "The All Star Championship". My trip
to Charleston was one of my favorite trips we have taken because I got to play golf the whole
weekend, we stayed in a nice hotel, and the scenery was amazing.
I play in the "South Carolina Junior Golf Association". I have been playing in the league for about

I believe that I should be awarded this scholarship because I come from a background in which
my parents did not go far with education. This has made life hard for my family and myself. My
mother is unable to work because she is dealing with multiple sicknesses and my father, who was
our main source of income, passed away. My parent both put a lot of pressure on me to get a good
education, but we lack the funds to make my dreams of becoming a doctor a reality. If I am
awarded this scholarship, I would be so grateful and it would not go to waste.

Writing A Biology Scholarship Analysis
One of the cornerstones of modern civilization is the written word. The ability to clearly convey
information through text is essential for people to gain new knowledge and interact with one
another, therefore, being able to write well is an essential skill. Writing an effective essay requires
proper understanding of language basics, and the ability to emphasize information for a target
audience. My goal for this essay is to review these techniques and critique a writing sample of my
own, a biology scholarship application, to demonstrate how these following these techniques
contributes to the quality of a written piece.
To begin with, when writing clearly, one must start with the basics of the language. Proper grammar,
spelling, punctuation,...show more content...
The ability to emphasize a point can be done through following convention, repetition, and
specificity. Writing convention is derived from following the most often used formats both
currently and traditionally in use. Readers can expect to gain useful information based on
introductory paragraphs, the first or last sentences in a paragraph, and through appropriate section
headings. Readers know these are important places to gather main ideas because this pattern in
writing has been established and reinforced time and time again. Keeping this convention in place
will help readers find information in the places they've already been trained to look for it.
Repetition also helps to emphasize certain lessons. This is true in speech, in real–life experiences,
and it holds true for the written word. Points that are repeated are more easily remembered and stay
relevant within the reader's mind. While it can feel tedious to reiterate something over and over
again, it puts one's overarching point at the forefront of the audience's recollection of the piece,
enabling better reading comprehension. In the same way as repetition, emphasis can be enhanced
through specificity. Very vague statements, while sometimes useful for transitioning into
neighboring ideas, ought to be explained in order to leave the reader with a clear point. For
instance, "We ate" is a grammatically correct and complete sentence, but it is easily forgettable and
doesn't leave much excitement for the reader. "For Valentine's Day, my husband and I ate a feast of
lobster and freshly caught salmon at our favorite seaside restaurant" gives the reader much more
information and even induces some imagination on the part of the reader, which makes the point

Fine Arts Scholarship Essay
I started at taking art classes in high school to explore how I might use art to change and shape
the world around me and I started to learn the demands and possibilities of what art could do and
what I could do. From fifth grade into my sophomore year college my mother had cancer and
various types at that, and so 50% of my responsibilities were home and the other 50% were at
school. I ended up missing school often, but I managed to graduate high school in three years so my
mother could see me graduate because it was one of her dreams. After high school graduation, I
quickly jumped into community college starting in the summer. In college, I had responsibilities at
home but I found my self always thinking and making art. I started taking as...show more content...
I want a damp forehead because I am working so hard, and I want to wake up with charcoal on my
face because I had been up all night finishing an assignment. The major I want to pursue is Fine
Arts because I cannot see myself doing anything else than wanting to make fine art. The fine arts
program will allow me to intertwine the arts, and take classes I intend to accomplish and achieve
knowledge that will help pursue my aspiration of being a working artist in today's world. Going into
an area that may not have a very optimistic employment opportunities has put my friends and family
on an edge but I can do this and I can do it well. I am setting out to learn what I do yet understand
and fully believe this is what I am must to do.
I have interest in subjects other than the fine arts as well. Acting, theatre, and music are other
types of art that I can engage and emerge myself in, and find ways I can relate it to my artwork.
Any new experience truly makes my art better. I am so excited to try to learn new ways of
expressing and becoming skilled. Gaining the skills of global thinking, problem solving,
communication and finding ways of how I can intertwine art. Enhance knowledge of science and

For this scholarship, I wanted to make whoever is reading this short essay to know who I truly am
and who I truly want to become. I am a 17–year–old girl with aspirations and dreams that I am
determined to reach. Growing up in a religious family, I was always brought up with specific
morals and values but that has shaped me into the person I am today. I grew up in a family where
their education was not nearly as good as mine is today. Being the first one in my family to go to a
four–year college makes me want to push harder to make them happy. As a young child, I always
had an interest in cooking, reading, and playing tennis. The qualities that I have used doing these
things has shaped me into the person I am today. These hobbies taught me...show more content...
Having the sense that I pushed myself the hardest I can and knowing that I won't stop as I further
my education makes all of the obstacles worthwhile. Scholarships in a way have motivated me to
do more as a student. I wanted to be able to do more like scholarships to benefit myself rather than
having that feeling that I didn't do as much for myself then I should have. Being considered for a
scholarship will give me the feeling that all the dedication that I've put into my work for the past
four years was all worth it. Just the satisfaction of knowing that I put my all into it is just a good
feeling as being awarded a scholarship. Scholarships are meant to push students farther in what
they want so being able to do this has made me think of all the great things that can come out of
things like this. I've never stopped trying at anything I've done and I will continue this as I go
further in my education and career. I would like to advocate for my future students that always
being able to motivate and have faith in yourself will always get you to you truly desire. I've had
faith in myself as a student to try as hard as I possibly can to get these scholarships and to put my
heart into

Why Are You Applying For A Scholarship?
Write an essay (no longer than 200 words) to explain why you are applying for a scholarship.
Because some scholarships require financial need, you may want to include information on your
family's financial situation.
Coming from a single parent household finances are very tight. My father is not fiscally involved
and my mother holds two jobs to support her family. It's clear to me that there will be a heavy
burden of student loans. A scholarship would allow me the opportunity to become a first generation
college graduate. I have a strong desire to become a better person, to better provide for my family by
pursuing higher education. Becoming a business or civil rights lawyer has been my ambition since I
was a little. Discuss your passion

First Generation Scholarship Essay
Dear donor of the First Generation Scholarship, I would like to share with you how grateful I am to
have been selected for the First Generation Scholarship. Being a first–generation student pursuing a
Bachelor's degree in my family is both exhilarating and intimidating. I never fathomed being able
to manage the cost of higher education, nor believing the probability of being selected for a
scholarship. Opening the letter and reading the words, "Congratulations, I am pleased to inform
you that you have been selected...", was one of the most surprising and emotionally charged
moments of my life. I simply could not believe what I was reading, especially considering that this
was the first and only time I have applied for a scholarship. Too many times I heard how it was
impossible to get one because there are too many people applying – it would be like winning the
lottery. I would hear how it was a waste of time and not worth the...show more content...
I remember thinking when I got married at 20 years old, that I wanted to be the best wife I could
be and everything else would fall into place when the time came. After my husband returned from his
first and last deployment to Iraq –– no longer the same; he was mentally and physically broken ––
caring for him became a larger priority than everything else. As I adjusted from being a wife to the
sole caregiver of my husband, I placed more of my educational aspirations on hold. Again, I told
myself that everything else would fall into place. When his younger brother had a life–changing
accident, I took him into my home and cared for him and have continued to do so for the past
eight years. After my husband and I had children, I started telling myself that I was going to be
too old to ever go back to school; I instead focused on my kids' educational futures. Eventually, I
promised myself that I would go back to school, once my kids were in school – I kept that promise to

How Would A Scholarship Impact My Life
A $3,000 scholarship would greatly impact me and make a big difference in my life. Education
has always been extremely important in my family, and a college education is highly valued in my
community. Because of this, my parents have been planning on me going to college since before I
was born. I am so grateful for their endless support. However, moral–support alone will not help me
get into college. Since I was a child, I've always thought of college as a necessity, so I've been saving
up for years. Besides working hard in school and being strongly academic, I've also been working
since I was 12 years old to save money. My first job was babysitting, and I got CPR–certified and
registered by my city. I've been working hard my whole life to

Community Scholarship Essay
A young person should strive to support their local community for various reasons. Engaging in
community service provides people with the opportunity to become active members of their
community and has a lasting, positive impact on society at large. Community service and
volunteerism enables one to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those
who need it most.
Supporting the community is a way to give back, it's a learning experience, it strengthens the
community, promotes personal growth and self–esteem, it brings people together, it makes you feel
good, it's an investment to the area you work and live and most importantly it allows you to make a
difference.
I have been able to develop real–world skills that has helped me to succeed both in school and at

to work with others. I can see firsthand that the work I have done has made a real impact in the

College Scholarship Essay
Scholarships are a great way to a free college education. There are many prospective college
students who use several other means for funding their college education such as grants, or loans.
Grants are funds that do not have to be repaid. Student loans usually have to be repaid. There are
several ways how to pay for college, and start off your college career with scholarships.
When starting your search for college scholarships, you should consider your current student status.
Are you a new high school graduate? Are you pursuing a second degree or advanced degree? What
field do you wish to pursue? The answer to these questions may determine where you start your
search for scholarships. If you're a recent high school graduate, you may...show more content...

education and science. You may search the internet for these type scholarships, or you may check
with a representative from the financial aid office at the institution that you wish to attend for more
information about these types of unique scholarships.
There are some scholarships that are institution based. You may check with a financial aid counselor
at the institution that you wish to attend to find out if you meet the criteria for any scholarships that
they have available. They will usually inform you of what's available at their institution, and there
may or may not be additional requirements to apply for the scholarship. Some scholarships may
require you to write an essay, or maintain a certain grade point average to keep the scholarship.
There are also many scholarships available to prospective students who are athletes. There are
many generous scholarships available for students who wish to play football, basketball, baseball,
golf, track & field, cheerleading, softball, or other sports. This is usually based on the type of sports
that are offered by the institution that you wish to attend. Many college athletes are recruited prior
to enrollment, but there are opportunities available for

Athletic Scholarships Essay
Athletic Scholarships
There are many good athletes in professional sports today. There are many good athletes in
college sports today also. Some of the biggest names in sports are Mark McGwire, Steve Young,
Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and so on. Now, imagine if all of those players never made it to the
pros. What would happen to professional sports? Why are they in the pros now? To make it into
professional sports you need more than just talent. You need opportunity. Collegescholarships not
only give athletes the opportunity to reach the professional ranks, but also give the chance for
many players to earn a degree in higher education. Many people dream of being a professional
athlete. Some people make it a reality, but...show more content...
After it's done baking, the final product is a delicious cake. The cake can't be complete without it

the pros without attending The University of Southern California(USC) on an athletic scholarship or
Michael Jordan without attending North Carolina, Allen Iverson without attending Georgetown
University, or Steve Young without attendingBrigham Young University? To earn a spot on a roster,
you can not miss a step in the process of getting there. A college scholarship is a giant step. Along
with college scholarships being a step to making it into professional sports, it is also many times
the only way for some people to earn a college degree. College is very expensive and can many
times run young adults into a large debt once out of college. For example, USC can cost up to
$25,000 a year to attend. That includes tuition, books, parking, room, and board. At the end of a 4
year term at USC, the total comes out to about $100,000. That $100,000 is excluding other living
expenses such as gas, car payment, car insurance, clothing, and general spending money. Not only is
that figure contained to USC but can be easily applied to Georgetown, Brigham Young and The
University of North Carolina. That's a very expensive education and not everybody has the luxury of
spending that much money. Many people would

Receiving A Scholarship
Receiving a scholarship will impact my career gravely, not only will this help me to continue my
studies, but it will also help me in my studies, so that I may not stay focused on the money aspect of
things. While being in college the thing to stress about the most should have to be studying and
staying on track with your assignments, but money plays a huge part in a college students life. We
have to be aware of how much money we are putting into our career and not get behind on bills,
but in trying to keep up with those bills, working long hours at a minimum wage paying job,
trying to volunteer and studying, we, or I as a student get very overwhelmed from time to time. So,

Aviation Scholarship Essay
I have been involved with aviation my entire life. Surprisingly enough, it all began with paper
airplanes. As a young child I spent many of my days folding a variety of different paper airplane
designs, exploring how each different fold would change the way it flew. As a result, this piqued
my interest to explore the fundamentals of aviation. I could spend hours reading about aircraft
design and learning about the history of flight. A few years later, at the age of nine, I saved up
for my first radio controlled airplane. This was my introductory to radio controlled flight and
taught me countless valuable life lessons. After several years of flying model airplanes, I decided to
build my first racing drone. It was equipped with a first person view (FPV) video system. This
allowed me to fly it from the drone's perspective, providing a bird's eye view of the landscape below.
FPV gave me an entire new sense of freedom. With the headset on, I was no longer bound to the

I am a dedicated, hard–working student who believes it is important to commit oneself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity in improving my own community's quality of life by doing volunteer work. I am currently in my last year at Ajax high school, and upon my successful completion of this chapter in my life, I will be receiving a post–secondary education. This has been my passions from my early teen years; a passion, I believe, has stemmed from by brother's autism diagnosis. My community service is very diverse,...show more content... At Ajax high school, I have volunteered in various departments. This involvement has equipped me with a tremendous amount of leadership skills. I am a member of the general council. I also volunteered in assisting the drama department in last year's musical. Through this job I painted sets and helped make props for the actors to use. I enjoyed helping this department presenting this play because I see first hand how even the smallest tasks can elevate a simple school play to a dramatic masterpiece. My contribution brought me great joy. Alongside with assisting the musical, I have volunteered, to helping my school tech crew. I was also involved in a kindergarten graduation. Although I do not consider myself "Techy", I felt it was important to get involved in my school, so I made myself available and surprised myself into what a contributed. It was a great success. In addition, I have volunteered I my school's after school program and helping with events that are held, for example, Grade 9 day. This was the first day of high school for those coming from junior school. We meet the new freshmen and make myself available to them if they or their parent needed assistance. As I progress throughout life I know I will always be involved in community service because of the rewarding experiences. Not just because I think it is important, but because it is something I enjoy doing and look forward to. I love bringing joy to others and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Golf Scholarship Essay When I was thirteen years old, my dad introduced me to golf. I have been hooked on to it ever since. I play golf for my high school and I am hoping to get a golf scholarship to somewhere when I graduate. My coach at the beach told me that the best way to get a scholarship is to play in summer tournaments around my area. I made the cut in the last tournament I played which was a qualifying tournament to go to Charleston for what they call "The All Star Championship". My trip to Charleston was one of my favorite trips we have taken because I got to play golf the whole weekend, we stayed in a nice hotel, and the scenery was amazing. My parent both put a lot of pressure on me to get a good education, but we lack the funds to make my dreams of becoming a doctor a reality. • 5. Writing A Biology Scholarship Analysis One of the cornerstones of modern civilization is the written word. The ability to clearly convey information through text is essential for people to gain new knowledge and interact with one another, therefore, being able to write well is an essential skill. Writing an effective essay requires proper understanding of language basics, and the ability to emphasize information for a target audience. My goal for this essay is to review these techniques and critique a writing sample of my own, a biology scholarship application, to demonstrate how these following these techniques contributes to the quality of a written piece. To begin with, when writing clearly, one must start with the basics of the language. Proper grammar, spelling, punctuation,...show more content... The ability to emphasize a point can be done through following convention, repetition, and specificity. Writing convention is derived from following the most often used formats both currently and traditionally in use. Readers can expect to gain useful information based on introductory paragraphs, the first or last sentences in a paragraph, and through appropriate section headings. Readers know these are important places to gather main ideas because this pattern in writing has been established and reinforced time and time again. Keeping this convention in place will help readers find information in the places they've already been trained to look for it. Repetition also helps to emphasize certain lessons. This is true in speech, in real–life experiences, and it holds true for the written word. Points that are repeated are more easily remembered and stay relevant within the reader's mind. While it can feel tedious to reiterate something over and over again, it puts one's overarching point at the forefront of the audience's recollection of the piece, enabling better reading comprehension. In the same way as repetition, emphasis can be enhanced through specificity. Very vague statements, while sometimes useful for transitioning into neighboring ideas, ought to be explained in order to leave the reader with a clear point. For instance, "We ate" is a grammatically correct and complete sentence, but it is easily forgettable and doesn't leave much excitement for the reader. "For Valentine's Day, my husband and I ate a feast of lobster and freshly caught salmon at our favorite seaside restaurant" gives the reader much more information and even induces some imagination on the part of the reader, which makes the point much more Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Fine Arts Scholarship Essay I started at taking art classes in high school to explore how I might use art to change and shape the world around me and I started to learn the demands and possibilities of what art could do and what I could do. From fifth grade into my sophomore year college my mother had cancer and various types at that, and so 50% of my responsibilities were home and the other 50% were at school. I am a 17–year–old girl with aspirations and dreams that I am determined to reach. Growing up in a religious family, I was always brought up with specific morals and values but that has shaped me into the person I am today. I grew up in a family where their education was not nearly as good as mine is today. Being the first one in my family to go to a four–year college makes me want to push harder to make them happy. Being considered for a scholarship will give me the feeling that all the dedication that I've put into my work for the past four years was all worth it. Just the satisfaction of knowing that I put my all into it is just a good feeling as being awarded a scholarship. Scholarships are meant to push students farther in what they want so being able to do this has made me think of all the great things that can come out of things like this. I've never stopped trying at anything I've done and I will continue this as I go further in my education and career. • 9. First Generation Scholarship Essay Dear donor of the First Generation Scholarship, I would like to share with you how grateful I am to have been selected for the First Generation Scholarship. Being a first–generation student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in my family is both exhilarating and intimidating. I never fathomed being able to manage the cost of higher education, nor believing the probability of being selected for a scholarship. Opening the letter and reading the words, "Congratulations, I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected...", was one of the most surprising and emotionally charged moments of my life. I simply could not believe what I was reading, especially considering that this was the first and only time I have applied for a scholarship. As I adjusted from being a wife to the sole caregiver of my husband, I placed more of my educational aspirations on hold. Again, I told myself that everything else would fall into place. When his younger brother had a life–changing accident, I took him into my home and cared for him and have continued to do so for the past eight years. After my husband and I had children, I started telling myself that I was going to be too old to ever go back to school; I instead focused on my kids' educational futures. Because of this, my parents have been planning on me going to college since before I was born. I am so grateful for their endless support. However, moral–support alone will not help me get into college. Since I was a child, I've always thought of college as a necessity, so I've been saving up for years. That $100,000 is excluding other living expenses such as gas, car payment, car insurance, clothing, and general spending money.
