For example, if your desire is to gain exposure for your business or create friendships, consider scheduling one-on-one meetings outside of the monthly meetings, joining a committee or taking on a board position etc.

However, you could ask a member to introduce you, or to host a luncheon with the person you want to meet. You could exchange services to thank your friend for her efforts. List your potential obstacles and the strategies you will take to prevent them from becoming roadblocks.
