Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications have both expanded into retail broadband, enterprise services, and direct-to-home television (DTH). These new business lines now account for approximately one-fourth of the total revenue for each company. While Bharti Airtel focuses on growing its customer base and generating revenue from its existing users, Reliance Communications aims to reduce capital expenditures by leveraging networks and user bases already in place to produce strong cash flows.
