2. From now on:
Choose images that are relevant to your work in one
(or more) of the following ways:
Visually similar
Conceptually relevant
The style of experimentation is inspirational
Because it gives you inspiration to try something
new and will link to the development of your project
3. Source properly.
Analyse fully and for the right reasons – go back
over the previous slideshows/your notes to help.
Improve your work using feedback and ensure you
are including it among your own work as you go –
don’t leave it until the bitter end!
You can always do more than the minimum, and for
any of the reasons stated on the previous slide.
Don’t say it if it isn’t relevant.
4. Your briefs will give you starting points
The library has lots of good Photography books.
The online resource image library (INFORM).
The Directory of Photographers (INFORM).
Asking your teacher for ideas.
Asking your peers for ideas.
Exhibitions/Gallery Visits.
Magazines/Journals such as the Portfolio Catalogue.
Websites such as www.magnumphotos.com (There
is a list of useful websites on the Directory also.)
5. Add 4 complete artist researches to your work which link with your
ideas for Brief Three.
Analyses 1&2 and 3&4 are due in in two stages.
Make compare/contrast comments to link your analyses together,
both with each other and also with your own work.
ALL must be good, reliable sources – no google images!!!
Extension Task:
Write a conclusion
Add further image(s) of relevant artist research. Include the source,
and a few comments/bullet points on why you’re including it/them.
