  Description
  It is  mostly found in the hotter parts of India.  It has showy, deep scarlet flowers.  Root bark   is used for medicinal purposes.  It is popular in the indigenous system as good  emmenagogue.  It has also proved to be as effective medicine for diabetes mellitus & inspidus.
  Homoeopathic uses :
  For female reproductive organs producing symptom of dymenorrhoea and reproductive organs producing symptoma of dysmenorrhoea and leucorrhoea, which have been confirmed during verification trials too.
  Diabetes mellitus – Urine profuse  at night and of high specific gravity.  Excessive thirst with dryness of mouth.  Patient suffers from insomnia and prostration, and patient is averse to do any physical and intellectual labour.  Mentally patient is of irritable nature, forgetful and morose.
Dysmenorrhoea  - Colicky pains in lower abdomen.  Menses are irregular, lasting for short or long time.  Blood in dark and clotted.
  Bronchitis  -  Pain in chest and sides on coughing.  Cough in the evening and during night.  Respiration is rapid & expectoration white.

Aegle  Folia Common Name 		:	Bel leaves Hindi			:	Bel Sanskrit			:	Bilwa, Tripatra English			:	Bengal quince Family			:	Rutaceae Description : It is indigenous to India and is found wild all over sub-Himalayan forests.  It is considered to be very auspicious and sacred to Hindus as it is offered to Lord Shiva.  It is considered as emblem of fertility. The  fruit of this tree is mainly used for treating diarrhoea  & dysentery.  Mostly  half  ripe fruit is used for medicinal purposes.  Aeglemarmelos is prepared from the fruit and Aegle folia is prepared from leaves of bel plant. Homoeopathic uses  : Like Aeglemarmelos this drug has also been found effective in gastro-intestional affections particularly dysentery  &  piles. Dysentery  -  Flatulent colicky pains with loose mucoid stool  &  mixed with blood.  Urge starts  soon after taking food.  Pain griping in  abdomen  passing flatus. Piles  -  Blind,  painful  with itching.  Constipation,  stood hard &  scanty.  Persons  suffering from indigestion with sour eructation. Potency  --  6
Aeglemarmelos Common Name : Bel fruit Sanskrit : Sriphala, Bilwa Hindi : Bel English : Bengal quince Family  : Rutaceae Description It is indigenous to India and is found wild all over sub-Himalayan forests. Atistaindica (Glycosmispentaphylla Common  Name  :  Ash sheora Sanskrit  :  Vanamenibuka,  Ashvashakota Hindi   :   Bannimbu Family   :   Rutaceae Description It is a small plant growing wild in India.  In  Hindu medicine it has been traditionally in bilious complaints,  cough, worms,  jaundice and fever.  Its medicinal virtues came into light when it was found that people who were cleansing their teeth with little stick of Ash sheora did not suffer from Kalazar   fever. Homoeopathic Uses This drug has been proved by  CCRH.   This medicine has been found clinically useful in amoebiasis, dyspepsia,  migraine and irritable bowel syndrome. Gastritis  --  This drug is proved to be effective in bilious complaints like nausea, vomiting, bitter taste in the mouth, heart burn with desire for lime juice which ameliorates and gastric symptoms are aggravated by eating. In gastric affections  colicky pain around navel is the key note, and on this symptom it has helped in expulsion of worms. Leucorrhoea  --  White discharge with burning which runs down to heels  >  lying down. Migraine  --  Pain in temples, throbbing type with bilious vomiting followed by weakness. Potency  --  30
Azadirachtaindica Common  Name  :  Nim Sanskrit  :  Nimba Hindi  :  Nim English  :  Margosa tree Family  :  Meliaceae Description It is a large evergreen tree 40 to 50 feet in height.  Almost every part of this plant is used for medicinal purposes in India.  In   Ayurveda, a medicine with the name “ Pancha-amrita “ is prepared from flowers, fruits, leaves bark and root of the tree.  Traditionally it has been used leprosy, skin disease and as anti -  pyretic.  It is used to clean up the blood impurities. Homoeopathic uses Medicine has been prepared  &  proved by  CCRH from  bark of the tree called margosa  bark.  It has been found effective in the following clinical  conditions. Skin  Disorders  -  Itching with dry reddish eruption on thighs, arms and chest.  Itching worse on undressing.  Itching followed by burning. Itching without eruptions. Fever -  Fever worse in  the afternoon with restlessness and bitter taste in mouth.  Tongue white coated.  Burning in palms & soles during heat.  Patient is thirstless. Potency --  30
Boerhaaviadiffusa Common Name  :  Punarnava Sanskrit  :  Sothaghni, RaktaPunarnava Hindi  :  Sant English  :  Spreading Hogweed Family  :  Nyctaginaceae Description It is common creeping troublesome weed spreading more in rainy season.   It is found all over India.It has two varieties i.e. white flowered  & red flowered.  In Homoeopathy white flowered variety is mainly used.  It is called Punarnava due to its quality of renovation from the almost old dead root is subsequent season. It has been used most successfully in dropsical affections. Homoeopathic uses It is a rejuvenator for kidney functions. This drug has proved to be effective in dropsical affections originating from impaired renal function especially with hypertension.  Scanty urine. Potency   --   6
Caesalpiniabonducella Common Name  :  Nata Sanskrit  :  Kuberakshi Hindi  :  Karanj  (a/u) English  :  Fever  Bonduc nut Family  :  Caesalpiniaceae Description It is a well known wild shrub of our country.  It grows near sea coasts.  Medicine is prepared from seeds which are almost globular in shape varying in size from ½ inch to ¾  inch in diameter.   Its action is widely known as an antipyretic. Homoeopathic  uses Dr. kali Kumar Bhattacharya of Gouripore, Assam brought out the homoeopathic symptomatology.    On the basis of this symptomatology,  it has been clinically verified by CCRH in intermittent type of fever especially  Malaria and the reliable group of symptom which have been found are as under. Fever  --  Fever appears between 8 A.M.  & 10 A.M. or 2 P.M.  And  4 P.M.  In the morning it appears with thirst but in the afternoon without thirst.  There is enlargement of liver  &  spleen.   Fever is preceded by terrible pain in eyes.  Fever usually does not last more than 6 hours. Potency  --  3X
Carica papaya Common Name  :  Papeeta Hindi  :  Popaiya ,  papeeta English  :  Papaya, pawpaw Family  :  Caricaceae Description  : It is useful, small soft woody tree, commonly cultivated throughout India.  Its green fruit is used both as a vegetable and fruit, and helps in liver complications and disorders of digestion.  Ripe fruit is very useful in habitual constipation. Homoeopathic uses  : Jaundice  -  Early stage of jaundice when there is loss of appetite with pain in right hypochondrium  worse after meals. Stool undigested,  loose followed by constipation.  Urine yellow and dark.  Conjunctiva pale.   Taste of mouth bitter. Potency  --   6
Cassia  sophera Common Name  :  Kasunda,  Baner English  :  Sennasophera Hindi  :  Kasaundi Family  :  Caesalpiniaceae Description The plant is found throughout India  and in most tropical countries.  It is common in waste lands,  on roadsides and in the forests.  Root bark is used for preparation of the medicine. It has been used by ancient Indian physicians for its efficacy in respiratory disorders.  Dr.  B.K. Basu  has proved this drug on himself.  He has also recommended in common cold and asthma. Homoeopathic uses The Council has made extensive proving of this drug and many symptoms have been clinically verified. Osteoarthritis  -  Pain in knee joints agg.  Movement, rising from seat, amel.  Continued  motion  &  pressure. Asthma  -  Dyspnoea  (brethlessness)  agg.  In winters, from exposure to dust, change of weather,  cold drinks, light exertion, smoke, morning evening, night and from walking. Allergic Rhinitis  -  Coryza with thin nasal discharge and sneezing.  Nose obstructed at night. Potency  --  30
Cephalandraindica Common Name  :  Telakucha Sanskrit  :  Bhimbadhar Hindi  :  Kanduriki bill,  Bhimb Family  :  Cucurbitaceae Description It is a perennial  creeping herb with long tapering tuberous roots and  deep  green leaves. Ayurvedic physicians have used bitter variety of the plant in diabetes mellitus,  bloody dysentery boils and carbuncles. Homoeopathic uses Diabetes mellitus and inspidus  --  Has been clinically verified for bilious complaints,  boils and carbuncles.  Burning pains all over body.  Profuse urination, giddiness.  Weakness & exhausation after urination.  Excessive dryness of mouth with great thirst.  Morose,  fretful and disinclination to do any work.  Potency   --  Q  (mother  tincture)
Cynodondactylon Common Name  :  Durba Sanskrit  :  Granthi, Doorva Hindi  :  Dhub,  Hariali English  :  Bermuda/Bahama grass Family  :  Gramineae Description It is a perennial creeping grass found throughout India up to an altitude 2400m.  It is of two varieties, one is white and another is green.  It is scantily found in winter, and can be seen on roadsides. In Atharvaveda, it is  mentioned  “may Durba, which rose from water of life, which possesses a hundred roots and a hundred stems, efface a hundred of my sins and prolong my existence on earth for a hundred years.”  Traditionally it has been used for epistaxis, haematemesis, diarrhoea and dysentery. Homoeopathic uses This drug  has been mentioned in Drugs of Hindoosthan and also proved by Dr. Jugal Kishore on three provers.  The drug is verified to be an anti-haemorrhagic remedy in epistaxis, bleedings from injuries etc.. Epistaxis—Bright red blood aggravated from heat of sun, fried food  and cold things after coughing. Menorrhoea – bright red, profuse menses. Dysentery – In early stage.  Cramps in abdomen better after stool.  Gurgling in abdomen with flatulence > passing stool. Stool loose watery with tenesmus, mixed with mucus & blood.  Loss of appetite & bilious vomiting. Potency  6X
