We present a program that implemented to execute Adaptive merge sort algorithm in parallel on a GPU based system. Parallel implementation is used to get better performance than serial implementation in runtime perspective. Parallel implementation executes independent executable operation in parallel using large number of cores in GPU based system. Results from a parallel implementation of the algorithm is given and compared with its serial implementation on run time basis. The parallel version is implemented with CUDA platform in a system based on NVIDIA GPU (GTX 650)

Go is a simple language with familiar syntax, but still, there are features, which implementation differs from most part of other programming languages. For example, the idea of CSP implemented as concurrency paradigm is used for parallelism in Go. It looks like a simple API, but under the hood, it is very complicated, but interesting mechanism. In this workshop we will make a brief introduction to the basics of networking: IP addresses, MAC addresses, DNS, DHCP. Concepts as a router, gateway and firewall are explained. Then we will see in practice how to share files on a local network (NFS, Samba), establish a FTP connection, or log on to another (Linux) machine remotely (SSH, VNC, RDP). Finally, we review some useful networking tools like ping, netstat, lookup, port scan, traceroute, whois.

Go gives us net.Dial and net.Listen for sending and receiving data at Layer 4. Now you will see how to send and receive raw packets directly to and from the NIC at Layer 1 to get timestamp information from timestamping-enabled NICs and when packets enter and leave the Linux kernel. Capturing these timestamps allows us to get better granularity when measuring latency and jitter instead of relying on time.Now() in userspace where that is subject to additional time introduced by the OS and Go runtime schedulers.

Socket API In windows is called Winsock and there we can discuss about that in another tutorial. What is Socket? Sockets are a method for communication between a client program and a server program in a network. A socket is defined as "the endpoint in a connection." Sockets are created and used with a set of programming requests or "function calls" sometimes called the sockets application programming interface (API). The most common sockets API is the Berkeley UNIX C interface for sockets. Sockets can also be used for communication between processes within the same computer.
