The document summarizes findings from a study comparing the coverage and accuracy of Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar for citation searching, author searching, and subject searching. Some key findings included Scopus indexing over 13,000 journals while Web of Science indexes under 9,000, and about half of journals are indexed in both. Subject searching was found to be limited across databases due to inconsistent integration of controlled vocabularies and lack of subject coverage evaluation tools. Author name variations and inconsistencies in addressing were found to introduce errors in citation counts and author searches. Continuous evaluation of databases was suggested to motivate vendors to improve data quality issues.
