Hello everyone! This is Nabil Freij with GlobalVision. Thank you for attending this webinar! Today we will discuss how Translation Management Systems can be used to facilitate a localization project. Let me start by giving you an analogy. A localization project is similar to the production of a mini Pixar movie. Unlike traditional animated movies, Pixar depends heavily on the use of the latest technologies in computers, graphic design software, animation, rendering and simulation. But as we all know, technology alone is not enough. To produce a successful movie, Pixar also relies on Writers and Artists to create a great script and bring the characters to life. Similarly in localization, we rely on Art and Science. Translation Memory tools and Translation Management Systems are at the foundation of the Science used to facilitate the process, workflow, collaboration and communication aspects of a project. People however still implement the tasks and attend to the project issues. Also, translation, today and in the foreseeable future, continues to be an Art. So localization, like a Pixar movie, is both Art and science fused together by process, people and technology.
