01 Introduction 
Digital Marketing using electronic media such as 
the web, e-mail, interactive TV, IPTV and wireless 
media in conjunction with digital data about 
customers characteristics & behaviors. 
“Digital marketing” is the process of building and 
maintaining customer relationships through online 
activities to facilitate the exchange of ideas, products, and 
services that satisfy the goals of both parties.

03 SEO 
 “Search engine optimization” (SEO) is the 
process of improving the volume and/or 
quality of traffic to a web site from search 
engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or 
"algorithmic") search results. 
All major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing have 
such results, where web pages and other content such as videos 
or local listings are shown and ranked based on what the search 
engine considers most relevant to users. Payment isn’t involved, 
as it is with paid search ads.
04 PPC 
Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing is surging in 
worldwide popularity as one the most cost 
effect ways to maximize the leads and sales 
from your website. 
In PPC marketing, the control you have 
over your campaign is unparalleled, and the 
real-time tracking of advertising efficiency is 
unique and invaluable.
05 SMM 
"Social media Marketing" is a way for people 
to communicate and interact online. While it has 
been around since the dawn of the World Wide 
Web, in the last 10 years or so we've seen a surge 
in both the number and popularity of social media 
sites. 
It's called social media because users engage 
with (and around) it in a social context, which can 
include conversations, commentary, and other 
user-generated annotations and engagement 
interactions.
06 Email marketing 
Email marketing is using e-mail as a means of promoting your 
products or services. This can be direct one to one e-mails but 
typically it relates to sending e-mails to a group of people that 
have subscribed to a mailing list. 
Sending promotional e-mails in order to acquire new customers or convincing 
current customers to purchase something immediately. 
Sending emails specifically designed to enhance relationships with current or 
previous customers, to encourage customer loyalty and repeat business. 
Adding advertisements to others companies’ e-mails (on a partnership basis) to 
gain exposure within a new market.
07 Display Advertising 
Display advertising is an online form of 
advertising similar to billboards, television 
ads and print ads. The ad has a simple 
concept and instantly provides the viewer 
with upfront information about the 
product or service. 
A display ad is embedded into a web 
page and consists of images and text. It 
can include sounds, animation or video to 
attract more attention, or with the help of 
some programming, can be highly 
interactive.
08 Affiliate Marketing 
A technique where other publishers and 
websites will promote your business. Basically the 
way it works is that an Affiliate is rewarded every 
time a visitor, customer or sale for your business 
is generated through an advertisement on their 
website. 
There are many different ways compensation is 
provided, but the concept remains consistent : 
you pay them for generating business for you.
09 Content Marketing 
Content marketing is a relatively new 
type of marketing that provides free 
media-type content to customers in 
exchange for their attention. Unlike 
traditional advertising which interrupts 
customers to get noticed, content 
marketing provides content that 
customers want in exchange for 
permission to market a product or 
service.
10 ORM 
Online reputation Marketing is important. 
With the huge and ever-growing population 
searching online to evaluate businesses, bad 
comments and reviews about your business 
can gravely affect your target market’s 
purchasing decision. 
This is why it is critical to monitor your 
online reputation and take a plan of action to 
counter any negative material and proactively 
act to produce positive material about you, 
your brand, your business, and your 
products/services.
