In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
1. A questioner asked for a
punishment about to befall.

2. Upon the disbelievers,
of it there is no preventer.
t⎦⎪ÌÏ≈x6ù=Ïj9}§øŠs9…çμs9ÓìÏù#yŠ∩⊄∪
3. From Allah, the Owner
of the ways of ascent.
š∅ÏiΒ«!$#“ÏŒÆlÍ‘$yèyϑø9$#∩⊂∪
4. Ascend the angels and
the Spirit to Him in a
Day whose measure is
fifty thousand years.
ßlã÷ès?èπx6Íׯ≈n=yϑø9$#ßyρ”9$#uρÏμø‹s9Î)
†Îû5Θöθtƒtβ%x.…çνâ‘#y‰ø)ÏΒt⎦⎫Å¡÷Ηs~

5. So be patient, a gracious
patience.
÷É9ô¹$$sù#Zö9|¹¸ξŠÏϑy_∩∈∪
6. Indeed, they see it far
off.
öΝåκ¨ΞÎ)…çμtΡ÷ρttƒ#Y‰‹Ïèt/∩∉∪
7. And We see it near.
çμ1ttΡuρ$Y7ƒÌs%∩∠∪

2. 8. The Day when the sky
will be like murky oil.
tΠöθtƒãβθä3s?â™!$yϑ¡¡9$#È≅ôγçRùQ$$x.∩∇∪
9. And the mountains will
be like carded wool.
ãβθä3s?uρãΑ$t6Ågø:$#Ç⎯ôγÏèø9$%x.∩®∪
10. And no friend will
ask of a friend.
Ÿωuρã≅t↔ó¡o„íΟŠÏΗxq$VϑŠÏΗxq∩⊇⊃∪
11. Though they will be
shown to each other. The
criminal will wish that he
could be ransomed from the
punishment of that Day by
his children.

12. And his wife, and his
brother.
⎯ÏμÏGt6Ås≈|¹uρÏμŠÅzr&uρ∩⊇⊄∪
13. And his kinsfolk
who gave him shelter.
ÏμÏGn=ŠÅÁsùuρ©ÉL©9$#ÏμƒÈθø↔è?∩⊇⊂∪
14. And whoever is on the
earth, all, then it might save
him.
⎯tΒuρ’ÎûÇÚö‘F{$#$Yè‹ÏΗsd§ΝèOÏμŠÉfΖãƒ
∩⊇⊆∪
15. Nay, indeed, it is the
flame of the blazing Fire. Hξx.($pκ¨ΞÎ)4‘sàs9∩⊇∈∪
16. That will eat up the
very flesh.

17. Calling him who drew
away and turned his back.
(#θããô‰s?ô⎯tΒtt/÷Šr&4’¯<uθs?uρ∩⊇∠∪

3. 18. And collected (wealth)
then guarded it.
yìuΗsduρ#©tç÷ρr'sù∩⊇∇∪
19. Indeed, man has been
created impatient.
*¨βÎ)z⎯≈|¡ΣM}$#t,Î=äz%·æθè=yδ∩⊇®∪
20. When affliction befalls
him, (he is) discontented.
#sŒÎ)çμ¡¡tΒ•¤³9$#$Yãρâ“y_∩⊄⊃∪
21. And when good
touches him, (he is) stingy.
#sŒÎ)uρçμ¡¡tΒçösƒø:$#$¸ãθãΖtΒ∩⊄⊇∪
22. Except those who are the
performers of prayer.
ωÎ)t⎦,Íj#|Áßϑø9$#∩⊄⊄∪
23. Those who are
steadfast in their prayer.
t⎦⎪Ï%©!$#öΝèδ4’n?tãöΝÍκÍEŸξ|¹tβθßϑÍ←!#yŠ
∩⊄⊂∪
24. And those in whose
wealth there is a known
right.
š⎥⎪É‹©9$#uρþ’ÎûöΝÏλÎ;≡uθøΒr&A,ym×Πθè=÷è¨Β
∩⊄⊆∪
25. For the beggar and the
deprived.
È≅Í←!$¡¡=Ïj9ÏΘρãósyϑø9$#uρ∩⊄∈∪
26. And those who believe in
the Day of Recompense.

∩⊄∉∪
27. And those who are
fearful of the punishment of
their Lord.

tβθà)Ïô±•Β∩⊄∠∪

4. 28. Indeed, the punishment
of their Lord, none can feel
secure.
¨βÎ)z>#x‹tãöΝÍκÍh5u‘çöxî5βθãΒù'tΒ∩⊄∇∪
29. And those who guard
their private parts (chastity).

30. Except from their wives
or those whom their right
hands possess, then indeed
(in their case) they are not
blameworthy.

öΝåκß]≈yϑ÷ƒr&öΝåκ¨ΞÎ*sùçöxît⎦⎫ÏΒθè=tΒ∩⊂⊃∪
31. But whoever seeks
beyond that, then those are
they who are the
transgressors.

32. And those who
keep their trusts, and
their promises.

tβθãã≡u‘∩⊂⊄∪
33. And those who stand
firm in their testimonies.

34. And those who
guard their prayer.

5. 35. Such shall be in the
Gardens, honored.
y7Íׯ≈s9'ρé&’Îû;M≈¨Ζy_tβθãΒtõ3•Β∩⊂∈∪
36. So, what is (the matter)
with those who disbelieve,
hastening (from) before
you.
ÉΑ$yϑsùš⎥⎪Ï%©!$#(#ρãxx.y7n=t7Ï%
t⎦⎫ÏèÏÜôγãΒ∩⊂∉∪
37. From the right and
from the left, in groups.
Ç⎯tãÈ⎦⎫Ïϑu‹ø9$#Ç⎯tãuρÉΑ$uΚÏe±9$#t⎦⎪Ì“Ïã
∩⊂∠∪
38. Does every person among
them desire that he will be
admitted into the garden of
delight.
ßìyϑôÜtƒr&‘≅à2<›ÍöΔ$#öΝåκ÷]ÏiΒβr&
Ÿ≅yzô‰ãƒsπ¨Ζy_5ΟŠÏètΡ∩⊂∇∪
39. Nay, indeed, We have
created them from that which
they know.
Hξx.($¯ΡÎ)Νßγ≈oΨø)n=s{$£ϑÏiΒšχθßϑn=ôètƒ

40. Not so, I swear by the
Lord of the easts and the
wests, We indeed have the
power.
IξsùãΝÅ¡ø%é&Éb>tÎ/É−Ì≈t±pRùQ$#É>Ì≈tópRùQ$#uρ
$¯ΡÎ)tβρâ‘ω≈s)s9∩⊆⊃∪
41. Over that We can
replace (them) with better
than them, and We are not
to be outdone.

t⎦⎫Ï%θç6ó¡yϑÎ/∩⊆⊇∪
42. So leave them to
converse vainly, and amuse
óΟèδö‘x‹sù(#θàÊθèƒs†(#θç7yèù=tƒuρ4©®Lym

6. themselves, until they meet
the Day of theirs which they
are being promised.

43. The Day when they
emerge from the graves in
haste as if they are racing
towards a goal.

44. Their eyes downcast,
humiliation covering them.
That is the Day which they
had been promised.
