Introduction  Mural Music & Arts Project (MMAP)
Mission:  Educate, empower, and inspire youth through the arts Origin:  Founded in 2001 as the  East Palo Alto Mural Art Project Reach:  MMAP has visual art installations in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Francisco, and internationally in Jamaica, Honduras, and South Africa Youth Served:  Over 530 unique young people since 2001 in 40 programs Strategic Partners:  Stanford University, Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, YMCA Urban Services, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe Mural Music & Arts Project (MMAP)
Mural Music & Arts Project (MMAP) 57 installations  and  35 original songs Awards Received:  KQED (2003), San Mateo County Board of Supervisors (2004), City of East Palo Alto Excellence Award (2005), American Youth Policy Forum (2005), ABC 7 Hispanic Heritage Salute (2005), Stanford Community Partnership Award (2007) Sponsors Engaged:  Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, The Grove Foundation, Applied Materials, Adobe Foundation, Cisco, The San Francisco Foundation, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, The Hewlett Foundation, United States Department of Justice
