I am a systems engineer and software developer who focuses on problems from the field of fast and big data. Currently, I explore big data for time series problems and develop storage systems based on object (e.g. AWS S3) and key-value stores (e.g. Cassandra, HBase, Riak). Additionally, the notion of reducing the need for redundantly stored data using streaming technologies (e.g. Akka Streams, Spark Streaming) has drawn my attention.
As a developer, I am a Scala lover and embrace the Play! web framework to create Akka-based web services. I particularly support micro services architectures and devops culture.
