2. History
14 year old boy complains of intermittent pain in his right
thigh and knee for last 3 months. Lately he is feeling pain
in his groin. He had been seen earlier by an Orthopedists
who had some X rays done for his Knee and was treated
symptomatically and reassured.
The pain is dull and Vague and is exacerbated by physical
activity

3. Examination
The boy 14 year old looks healthy with hard to
appreciate any wasting on inspection.
The hip is tender locally.
There is restriction of internal rotation, abduction,
and flexion.
When the limb is flexed , the limb goes into external
rotation.
Paradoxically there is increase in hip extension,
external rotation. Adduction is also present.
There is no hip flexion contracture
