This document provides technology ideas and resources to support teaching the first grade reading standards for literature from the Iowa Core. It includes eight activities for standard RL.1.1, which addresses asking and answering questions about key details in stories. The activities utilize websites, apps, videos and interactive tools to engage students in asking and answering questions about literature and demonstrating their understanding of characters, settings and events. Additional standards on craft and structure, integration of knowledge and comparing stories are also briefly addressed.
