2. green house effect, global warming, and climate change Green house effect (GHE): the average increase of the Earth because certain gasses absorb inferred heat that would normally be radiated into space. Global warming: the rapid increase in earths average surface temperature over the last century do to the releasing f green house gasses. Climate change: a change in the typical or average weather of a region or city
3. The relationship Climate change happens because of global warming and the green house effect Global warming happens due to the green house effect
4. Why it happens Human induced increase in heat trapping gasses Methane CO2 build up
5. The after math… The ocean doesn’t absorb as much CO2 Water levels rise Arctic population numbers decrease flying species are moving north and higher to cooler areas sooner Hurricanes become stronger Less fresh water is available Floods and draughts become more common Precipitation levels increase Diseases can spread faster
6. How Global warming affects the Economy The increased temperatures could hurt growth of food. This would increase the cost of foods. If the government was to try cut down on gas emissions it would be very expensive that we would have to pay for through taxes. If polar ice caps melt it could cause land to be flooded and less land to be built on, raising property value.
7. Ways to fight Global Warming People can start moving away from using fossil fuels. Then start using electricity, solar power, and other green energies. Use cars as little as possible.
8. Arguments Against Global Warming No actual evidence showing how human release of greenhouse gases is causing any issues. Also people say the data shown that there is no warming trend and misguided information.
9. Opinions on Global Warming I believe that human’s do not have any significant role in in the warming of the earth if any at all. Natural gases are being emitted in far greater amounts than produced by humans.
