Radical Change Requires Radical Ideas
Radical change like what we all want requires radical ideas.
As a Home Time Management Coach I'll let you in on my thoughts...
Reading-While it's a great stress reducer, reading alone will not solve the first problem. In fact, the very act of taking time to read a book, article, or website may actually cause more stress because while you may find nuggets of great ideas, you've used all the free time you have and so you file that nugget away in your memory bank for something to try later.
Biggest problem: No action.
Talking-Here is a way you can gather even more nuggets of great ideas. Again though, talking doesn't put a single one of them into practice. Many ideas gleaned from conversation get filed in the 'ole memory bank for something to try soon.
Biggest problem: No action.
Joining Groups-Commiserating with others with the same problem is great. Again, you can glean many tips and tricks... many you may never have thought of on your own.
But, again, other than some mental filing, not much gets done other than you feel and sound like an expert for sharing what you've learned… even though you haven't seen it in action in your own life.
Biggest problem: No action.
So we see a common thread of action being the missing ingredient in all of the above. Remember when I said that radical change requires radical ideas. Well, if you've been struggling with the same problems... seeking that radical change... and have seen no results despite all your "work," then you may want to switch to a radical idea and try the missing ingredient: Action.
Hint: That's what me as a Home Time Management expert and coach can help you with. Oh, and one tool I use as a coach is assignments.

1. Radical Change Requires Radical
Ideas

2. If you're like most people...You probably have
somewhere in the neighborhood of 7,256 really radical
changes you'd love to see happen in your home time
management.
Let's see... topping the list are making time for
exercising, doing away with what I term "mealtime
madness," and making more time for spouse, kids,
friends, and family.
Oh... and don't forget time for yourself.

3. I'm here to tell you... Radical change like what we
all want requires radical ideas... not the same old
dysfunctional ideas we've always defaulted to.
But first... let's talk about what (I'll assume) you've
tried.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
4. To solve your home time management
struggles you've probably...
Done all the "normal" things someone searching
for information does: You've read all the top time
management books by the greatest of authors,
talked with family and friends, and you've joined
groups.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
5. You think about how lucky you were to be born in this
technological age because now... unlike your poor
parents... you can (and have) searched for others with
problems managing their time at home.
Realizing the time management dangers of being
online you've been careful and joined problem-specific
blogs, searched problem-specific websites, and asked
problem-specific questions which were answered by
problem-specific experts.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
6. You've talked about your home time
management problems with everyone you know
and in all types of environments-when you're
walking or jogging, when you're in the grocery
store line, or at the doctor's office.
You even have the option of commiserating with
friends hands-free on the phone while changing
a dirty diaper or loading the dishwasher.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
7. You've read article after article, book after book,
and you've clipped and jotted down every tip you
think will work and day after day, week after
week, month after month, and year after year
your life is the same.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
8. Your struggles are the same... maybe even
worse because, as the years pass and the kids
keep coming, now instead of having one hungry
face staring at you, you have 2 then... 3.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
9. So nothing has worked...
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
10. The bathtub which was once your refuge is now home to
rubber toys and (someone else's) bubbles and your
evenings which were previously spent on the couch
watching TV with your spouse are now spent in a frenzy of
those baths, homework, and bedtime rituals.
Life has gotten to the point where you no longer even have
the energy to indulge in that long-lost luxury... you'd be
afraid of falling asleep and drowning.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
11. You've spent years researching time
management and, after all this time, you guess
it just doesn't work... at least not for YOU.
You know it actually does work because some
people you know really have it going on.
But you... well, for some strange reason, you
just can't make it work right.
(c) Home Time Management 2013 | Mary Segers
http://marysegers.com
12. What's the deal? You go through possible
explanations in your head:
• Are you deficient in some area?
• Not good enough?
• Not smart enough?

http://marysegers.com
13. As a Home Time Management Coach I'll let
you in on my thoughts...

14. Assuming you have a headache coming on
from vigorously nodding when I made all the
assumptions I made earlier in this section, I'm
going to tell you why each of these didn't work
for you…
