Tim is a digital marketing strategist helping businesses and brands get the
most out of social media and digital PR. After 10 years or more of working
for internet based businesses and web design agencies, Tim set out
working as a sole trader, applying his digital trade as a freelance marketeer,
focussed on the world of social media and content marketing.
Tim has worked with a variety of businesses from start up companies and
sole traders to multinationals and global brands, with their social media
strategy, development and campaigns at the core.
Tim is well renowned in the social media industry and he has an impressive
portfolio. He has worked for the likes of British Gypsum, Cooper Parry,
Slimming World, Newcastle FC and the BBC.

From humble beginnings as a tradesman, Steve entered the Further Education
world in 2006 as an assessor. In a relatively short time period, Steve became a
business advisor and within a year a business manager.
Two years later Steve became a Head of Employer Responsive for New College
Nottingham and took a below par brand and message to new levels of success
within 6 months.
In this time period Steve has won a D2N2 marketing campaign of the year award
and also took the brand to become the number one training provider for the
Nottinghamshire region.
Steve has also been the Head of Partnerships at FE Associates and is currently
the Customer Planning Manager for learning technologies at City and Guilds.

After understanding the customers needs, fe.ed were asked to advertise and build a community of new customers for a
large blue chip company, looking to engage education and clubs.
This was their journey...
● We built custom landing pages branded as the
customer. We enabled them for Web viewing as well
as optimised for mobile phones and tablets.
● Landing pages allow us to extract key details of the
audience
● We complete A&B testing, A/B testing allows us to
test changes to a web / mobile page against the
designs and determine which ones produce positive
results
When the designs were finalised and agreed, we product tested the A&B designs over a 5 day period.
Using new advertising techniques through social media, we were able to place the messages in-front of key members and
groups who were in the types of jobs that we were looking to engage.
After the 5 days of testing, we were able to determine which design worked best for engagement and conversion
● With our Software running alongside new social
media advertising channels such as Facebook Dark
- we are able to pre determine the customer base
and target advertisements to them
● We also introduced Re-targeting.
Re-targeting - once you have seen the service in
your timeline or feed, then it will follow you to your
websites that you visit next
We were able to show analytical data in real time. This helped ensure that the messaging was correct and engagement
was boosted.
Where there was no or little engagement, we were able to switch budgets to concentrate on areas that were working. This
was completed on a daily basis
● This one post from January 12 2015 was seen by
2,347 people. With 14 likes and comments. The
comments were referrals to others who may be
interested in the products on offer.
● 54 of the 2,327 people who this one post reached
clicked on the link, which took them to our pre-
tested landing page
Of those 54 that clicked on the landing page, 37 converted into leads for the customer.
We were able to supply all the details they were looking for.
Overall and within the space of 30 days the campaign was seen
by 2.3k people

of 16-24 learners in London and Southampton for a
new employability programme designed around
entrepreneurship.
This was their journey...
● Again, we built custom landing pages branded as
the customer. We enabled them for Web viewing as
well as optimised for mobile phones and tablets.
● Landing pages allow us to extract key details of the
audience, we kept the information needed short as
this age group do not like to fill out extensive
information
● Again we completed A&B testing, but as this was to
fill courses, we changed the messaging multiple
times to ensure the audience were fully engaged
As before and using new advertising techniques through social media, we were able to place the messages in-front of 16-
24 year old in postcodes situated in the areas the group were looking to recruit.
● With our Software running alongside
new social media advertising channels
such as Facebook dark - we are able to
target specific age groups and
locations, to ensure the target audience
is being spoken to
● As most 16-24 year olds use social
media in-between one and three hours
a day (ONS report 2014) we replayed
the message multiple times a day

This helped ensure that the messaging was correct and targeted the correct target area, switching between London and
Southampton. Where there was no or little engagement, we were able to switch to the regional area that needed further
recruitment. This was completed on a daily basis
● This one post from January 12 2015 was seen by
131 16-24 year olds in the Southampton area. With
4 likes and comments. The comments were referrals
to others who may be interested in the products on
offer.

In this time period Steve has won a D2N2 marketing campaign of the year award and also took the brand to become the number one training provider for the Nottinghamshire region. We will audit everything from your website, search engine optimisation (SEO), social media usage and other marketing communication tools that you have in place. This service that has been derived purposely for the Further Education market. We will provide a Red, Amber, Green (RAG) report so you can embed this into your Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and Self Assessment Report (SAR) to integrate engage and utilise social media over the coming year Our digital PR campaign level service We will run a three month campaign for you which works toward one goal. This innovative and bespoke service monitors real- time conversations on the social web and takes the opportunities that it presents. Working in your chosen ‘hot-spot’ areas. We will concentrate on new forms of social advertising from new techniques such as Facebook Dark, Atlas as well as well as new developments such as retargeting launch ads. This type of activity helps drive your target market into discussions and web pages that we help you develop, therefore showcasing your understanding to their needs at the right time. We help you trace and act upon their ‘buying’ signal. Our market-leading system in making you self- sufficient within a 12 month period… we pass on our knowledge.   • 16. After understanding the customers needs, fe.ed were asked to advertise and build a community of new customers for a large blue chip company, looking to engage education and clubs. This was their journey... ● We built custom landing pages branded as the customer. We enabled them for Web viewing as well as optimised for mobile phones and tablets. ● Landing pages allow us to extract key details of the audience ● We complete A&B testing, A/B testing allows us to test changes to a web / mobile page against the designs and determine which ones produce positive results
  • 17. When the designs were finalised and agreed, we product tested the A&B designs over a 5 day period. Using new advertising techniques through social media, we were able to place the messages in-front of key members and groups who were in the types of jobs that we were looking to engage. After the 5 days of testing, we were able to determine which design worked best for engagement and conversion ● With our Software running alongside new social media advertising channels such as Facebook Dark - we are able to pre determine the customer base and target advertisements to them ● We also introduced Re-targeting. Re-targeting - once you have seen the service in your timeline or feed, then it will follow you to your websites that you visit next
  • 18. We were able to show analytical data in real time. This helped ensure that the messaging was correct and engagement was boosted. Where there was no or little engagement, we were able to switch budgets to concentrate on areas that were working. This was completed on a daily basis ● This one post from January 12 2015 was seen by 2,347 people. With 14 likes and comments. The comments were referrals to others who may be interested in the products on offer. ● 54 of the 2,327 people who this one post reached clicked on the link, which took them to our pre- tested landing page
  • 19. Of those 54 that clicked on the landing page, 37 converted into leads for the customer. We were able to supply all the details they were looking for. Overall and within the space of 30 days the campaign was seen by 2.3k people
  • 21. fe.ed were asked to advertise and build a community of 16-24 learners in London and Southampton for a new employability programme designed around entrepreneurship. This was their journey... ● Again, we built custom landing pages branded as the customer. We enabled them for Web viewing as well as optimised for mobile phones and tablets. ● Landing pages allow us to extract key details of the audience, we kept the information needed short as this age group do not like to fill out extensive information ● Again we completed A&B testing, but as this was to fill courses, we changed the messaging multiple times to ensure the audience were fully engaged

As before and using new advertising techniques through social media, we were able to place the messages in-front of 16- 24 year old in postcodes situated in the areas the group were looking to recruit. ● With our Software running alongside new social media advertising channels such as Facebook dark - we are able to target specific age groups and locations, to ensure the target audience is being spoken to ● As most 16-24 year olds use social media in-between one and three hours a day (ONS report 2014) we replayed the message multiple times a day
  • 23. Real impact in Real time...analytical data This helped ensure that the messaging was correct and targeted the correct target area, switching between London and Southampton. Where there was no or little engagement, we were able to switch to the regional area that needed further recruitment. This was completed on a daily basis ● This one post from January 12 2015 was seen by 131 16-24 year olds in the Southampton area. With 4 likes and comments. The comments were referrals to others who may be interested in the products on offer. ● 5of the 2,327 people who this one post reached clicked on the link, which took them to our pre- tested landing page
