23. PROJECT BACKGROUND& DESIGN INTENTION
Spatial Planning
The overall layout is design by the exist route of the
opposite road from Titiwangsa Park. To attract the bikers to
occupied the space I have create the entrance by aligning
the entrance with the opposite crossing. Hence it create a
sense of continues path for the people from Titiwangsa
Park.
The working space design as 2 blocks. Which includes the
public and the private block. For the public is even for the
non bikers are able to occupied but on the other hand the
private block is only can be occupied by the senior bikers
itself. Furthermore the front block is more toward artificial
ventilation system due to the activities are more suitable for
indoor. Beside that, the private block is an open area due to
the spcae activities such as bike DIY natural ventilation
benefits to have fresh air kept on flowing by removing all
chemical smell during DIY process.
Indoor & Outdoor relationship
By having an indoor and outdoor types of ventilation have
been specified such as using the artificial ventilation or
natural ventilation.
Journey And Interaction
The main blocks for idea of private and non private area
been identified. Such as the non private block is mainly for
everyone but the private block is only provided for the staff
and bicycle lovers.
24. PROJECT BACKGROUND& DESIGN INTENTION
Design Strategy & Site Response
The massing form design have generate through the the
transparency of the surrounding views. Hence it will be
decide the transparency level it get in that particular area.
The landscape were design through having the same
relationship as Titiwangsa Park. Hence it become an
extension of Titiwangsa Park.
By having a visible and easy trace entrance. It design with
highlighted entrance such as having a slating point to
emphasis the way to enter the building.
25. PROJECT BACKGROUND& DESIGN INTENTION
Design Strategy & Site Response
By planning the space it took the strategies of the most
visible and non visible area for this area. Hence it
summarize with public and non public space. The most
visible area whould provide mostly for public and private
were specified for specific users.
The entrance of the building were allocate base on the

image of extension path for the people who visit this Bicycle
Hub.
By creating an interesting path to attract the attention from
people ramp was created to provide and experience of
designated elevate path.

ENVIRONMENTAIL & TECHNOLOGICAL STRATEGIS
Location : Titiwangsa ( Kuala Lumpur) Site plan
The sun path diagram show the relationship of building with site context. It is suggested the west side of
the building which has more shaded area such as having trees and shading could potentially provide.
Beside that, by having a confortable outdoor place, it design the outdoor space is in the center of the
building. Hence it can provide morning and late evening shade and maximize the suitable time to use that
area instead having hot sun shine through all the time.

Wind analysis
By having the wind analysis it had decide the my opening
space for my building. Based on the daily wind rose
diagrams, the wind is blow from all direction but relatively
stronger from the north side, due to not having any
blockage from any neighbor building. The propose building
is design with a semi outdoor space and fully outdoor such
as open café area and bicycle park. Hence the opening
from the indoor let through the wind to pass through the
whole building.
28. ENVIRONMENTAIL & TECHNOLOGICAL STRATEGIS
Green Feature
As a bicycle hub there are design seeks to make the building into more lively to showcase the
workability of few green ideas. To perform this, the are only added not only to improve the energy
efficiency. On the other hand, it encourage people more knowledge towards green design and make
them familiar with it. Such as the Low E double glazing façade helps to perform better temperature
condition indoor area. Natural light circulation space such as the ramp to reduce the overall energy for
the building. High thermal mass external skin to have better heat resistance and also rainwater

Visual landmarks such as Istana Budaya acts as the prominent magnetic architecture that attracts people into the site.
-less people making into the site
The both two sites are heavily affected by the elements of activities created by the users.
The community itself creates an endless possibilities, for the future community to approach the site
The design of the building focuses on making a positive contribution to the surroundings. The project gives back to the city the area it takes away by providing a public green rooftop.
A free form wooden roof resting on a glass box. The glass box consists of transparent glass walls and a playful concrete base that protects the building against the surrounding heavy traffic.
Transparent glass walls allow natural light to filter through during the day and transform the building into a glowing box at night, providing a special visual experience. The mood of the building keeps changing from day to night.
The interior space focuses on the function of the building with light and natural surfaces. The double story bicycle rack becomes the main element in the space.
