Festivals and Events
We love having a good time in Pembrokeshire and we love our festivals and events.
Any excuse really, especially if there’s food involved. Our favourite foodie events include the Pembrokeshire Fish
Week at the end of June. It’s a seriously fishy festival, if you excuse the pun. Then there’s the Really Wild Food
Festival in St Davids over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend and the Narberth Food Festival at the end of
September, but there are plenty more.
We like our music festivals too. Anything from Blues to Bach. Here are the highlights:
St Davids Cathedral Festival at the end of May
The Fishguard Folk Festival at the end of May
Fishguard International Music Festival in July
Aber Jazz, Jazz and Blues Festival in Fishguard in August
Tenby Blues Festival in November
The Torch Theatre in Milford Haven, The Queens Hall in Narberth, Rhos Y Gilwen near Boncath, Theatre Mwldan in
Cardigan and Theatre Gwaun in Fishguard are the bigger venues and all have daily if you fancy a good night out. If
you'd like something more intimate try some of the local pubs and cafes, or see our attractions search for musical
attractions in Pembrokeshire.
When it comes to our big sporting event, Ironman Wales, having fun is a really serious business. The competitors
have to swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles then run a marathon! They do get 17 hours to complete the course (the
2014 winner only took 9 hours and 7 minutes). Spectators have a slightly easier day but all that clapping. It’s
exhausting!
