Buzzwords Used to scan the magazine at a cash

Central image Shows how much the magazine will cost
Coverlines Words or phrases that set the meaning of
an image
Flash A straight line that highlights extra content
Masthead A ‘badge’, often circular or star-shaped to
draw attention to content
Price Draw attention, e.g. ‘Free!’ or ‘Exclusive!’
Skyline A horizontal line at the top of a magazine, usually
in colour, with text that refers to content
