recycling system and one bad point.

of waste that can be recycled.

people at the recycling centre to make
sure that items for recycling are
correctly sorted into groups and how to
do this.

a included a clear chart or graph in my
presentation.
b explained recycling as a way to
conserve resources, using scientific
words correctly.
c included the correct units in any data

affected by the recycling services, e.g.
how the recycling scheme affects

think that recycling is a good or bad
idea.
d explained how a can sorter works,
using ideas about magnets and
electromagnets.
To reach this level I could have:
a included people’s opinions in my
presentation alongside scientific
evidence such as data.
b presented any data in the best way,
e.g. using a bar chart or a line graph
where it is best to do so.
c used scientific words when
describing how a can sorter works, e.g.
magnetism, magnetic field, magnetic
material, electromagnet.
d explained why any data used to
provide evidence for or against how well
the recycling scheme works are going to
be better if they have been collected
from many people and not just a few.
