Organs of the body Organ Function
Organs of a plant Organ Function
What are Organs made of?
Heart skin lung Brain Leaf Plant Stem Tissues
Cells Heart Cells Skin Cells Lung cells Brain cells Leaf cells Blood
cells tissue organ body Organ system Pupil Form Subject class Year School The order of things
Watch the video and answer these questions Answer in your book 1)Why would we want to grow organs? 2) How did the make the organs? (spraying ______ with a printer) 3) Cells reproduce to make T_____s which make up O___ns 4) How useful do you think this type of research is? For you to just think about How much money do you think growing organs is worth? If you desperately needed an organ how much would it be worth? Are there any other possibilities than just replacing organs? Organs, Tissue and Cells
What do Cells Look like
Part Function Found in Cell membrane Controls what substances can get into and out of the cell. Plant and animal cells Cytoplasm Jelly-like substance, where chemical reactions happen. In plant cells there's a thin lining, whereas in animal cells most of the cell is cytoplasm. Plant and animal cells Nucleus Controls what happens inside the cell. Carries genetic information. Plant and animal cells Chloroplast Where photosynthesis happens – chloroplasts contain a green substance called chlorophyll. Plant cells only Vacuole Contains a liquid called cell sap, which keeps the cell firm. Plant cells only Cell wall Made of a tough substance called cellulose, which supports the cell.
