preparing for your exams.
Even if there are months until
the exam, make a start on
revision tasks now.
The people that do best in
tests and exams don’t leave it
until the last minute – they
work hard all year round.

plan – you stare at a pile of
books and wonder what
subject you should study.
Make your life easier – have a
plan for what you will study
and when you’ll do it.

happily have free time too.

Studying is hard if you keep
getting messages from your
friends. Or can’t stop looking
at pictures of funny cats.
Unless you really, really need it
(and do you?), keep your
mobile phone in a different
room while you study.

6. Studying for long periods
without a break can be as
damaging to your success as
doing nothing.
You should aim to study for
short bursts (maximum 30-40
minutes at a time).
And factor in rest and breaks
times too.

7. Make your revision more
interesting – give yourself a
reward to encourage you.
This could mean only watching
a TV programme once you’ve
studied three subjects.
Or perhaps a bar of chocolate
after you have completed a
past paper.
