2. Search by Content Type
Begin by using the
“Search by Content
Type” drop down
menu.
Select All News from
the content type list.

3. Advanced Options
Type a search term into
the the search box.
Then select “Advanced
Options” drop-down
menu.

4. Date Range
Using the Date widget to
enter a date range for the
search.
The calendar makes it
easy to select a specific
month, day and year.

5. Article Type
lSelect Editorials &
Opinions from the Article
Type column.
Select “Apply” to return
to the search box.

6. Search
To execute the search
select the Search
button.
The selected search
options display below
the search box.
Search results display
after running the
query.

7. Limit Results
The results are limited using
the selections from the left-
hand column.
Select newspapers to limit the
result to editorials and
opinions found in newspapers.

8. Select a Newspaper
Select the + icon next to
the Newspaper to expand
the the list of Newspaper
source category to reveal
newspapers represented in
the results list.
Select a newspaper title to
limit the results to one
particular publication. In
this case the New York
Times was selected.
