Doors connect different spaces and provide information about the areas they separate and join. Special locks on dormitory doors keep unwanted guests out while glass walls allow students to see outside conditions. Entrances sometimes have buffer zones that prevent temperature changes when entering or exiting. Door materials and handles provide clues about the purpose of the space, and scratches can reveal details on how an area has been used.

1. We all go in and out of sp aces we created without even kn owing it, what separate us from sp aces to spaces are walls, and what connect us from spaces to spaces are doors.

3. Different lock systems This is the gate for shealy hall in windsor, the special card lock helps keep unwanted guest from entering. Have you seen any other kind of special lock system?
4. Some entrances have a space before you enter, you probably knew the purpose of this, this often occurs in places where a lot of people go in and out constantly. You are probably wondering why I turned this in soooooo late, well I can make up a lot of excuses like bad networking, bad health, crashed computers etc. But I don’t think you care, and the real reason is, I did it before the due date, but it wasn’t perfect enough so I decided to fix it. In fact I almost changed the whole thing on the last several days believe me or not, you can take as many points as you want off from this project, I’m not going to argue about it, just please accept it, it’s a project I put a lot of efforts in and I just want it to be graded. Thank you. This first slide shows what the whole presentation is going to be about, as you can see, doors. It brings up the concept that we are living in spaces being devided by walls and connected by doors. I even break the words into different colors in the first three lines not only because it would be easier to see but also because it shows what the walls do, breaking the space up; and for doors on the last two lines, I kept the letters in every word in the same color, to show what doors do, to make this disconnection disappear.
