3. Program Description
 The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician program provides training,
knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic and limited advanced
emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent
patients.

4. Employment
 Opportunities: Part time and full time positions are available. Job
opportunities include Emergency Medical Services facilities, Hospitals, and
medical transport.
 Salary: Salary is dependent upon the employment setting and geographic
location of the jobs.
 Advancements in the Field: Graduates have the potential to attend
Paramedic school.

 Certification exam fees: $100
non refundable.
 Uniforms: EMT Program-specific

6. Timeline
 How often do we register?
 The EMT program begins every fall term on the Industrial Drive Campus
in Moultrie and the Tifton Campus.
 What is the procedure to register?
 Contact your program advisor or instructor by e-mail, telephone, or in
person during new student registration day or pre-registration week.
 How long does it take to complete the program?
 Two terms if you have no break in training.
