The C.S. Mott Library at Mott Community College in Flint, MI celebrated its grand re-opening on June 23, 2011. This presentation shows before and after photos of the construction process as well as historic photos. Presentation created by Margaret Bourcier.

2. In 1957 a committee recommended the consolidation of the two library
collections, (Flint Junior College and the University of Michigan-Flint) and
proposed a library director be appointed to direct both libraries.

approved preliminary plans for a
three-story building. The architect was
then asked to reduce the structure to two
stories.

28. The building originally did not have an air-conditioning system, but was
designed so AC equipment could be installed without difficulty in the
future. In 1964 air conditioning was installed.
