2. Sexism In Today's Society
• The general notions of sexism tend to surround
ideas of discrimination in the work place or in the
society as general.
• Men want to be prevailing over females since
men were dominant in the early years.
• Sexism should discontinue so that women and
men may live a life without being under a foe’s
control.
• Men and women should be treated equal and
that is what the first amendment stated.
3. • Sexism against men and women may lead the
women or man to choose suicide rather than
dealing with the situation.
• Education given to men or women may affect
the factors in which they choose to use sexism
in their own way for their own
morale.
• Women may be forced to live on the streets
rather than living in a suitable living
environment.
• Men and women can feel free when they state
their opinions.
4. • Sexism can also be a factor in which a women
or man is selected into a
category for example : if a man and women
enter the army with the same experience the
man would get a higher rank than the women
who would get a lower rank.
• Sexism against women allows men with a
lower education than the women to get
a better paying job than the women.
• Sexism affecting women will allow men to be
more intelligent than women so
That there will be men leading this nation.
5. Sexism's Effect On Business And
Workplace
• All work environments require teamwork and
cooperation to accomplish even the most basic
tasks.
• The Use of sexist language, however, can become
a demoralizing force.
• When sexist words are used to attack and
condescend a female employee, all women can
feel devalued and not part of the team.
• Sexism creates an environment where women
fear that their performance will confirm the
stereotypes against women that are believed by
their male peers.
6. • Women who face sexist words and treatment
may feel physically threatened because the
perpetrator may be in a position to physically
harm them.
• Sexist words are offensive to not just the target of
abuse but all others in the workplace.
• When workplace leadership is not respected, that
can create a lack of trust, which will encourage
some hardworking and highly skilled employees,
regardless of their sex, to leave.
• As a result, the company will lose its best workers
to its competition, adding to operational costs,
considering the time and resources involved in
hiring and training new people
7. How To Deal With Sexism
• We all know and agree that sexism is not an
ethical behavior in general regardless its being
used in a workplace or elsewhere.
• We need to get dialogue and discussion going at
an early age.
• We need to dig deep to get at the roots of sexism
and we need to not be afraid of the repercussions
that will come with being open and honest about
sexism and oppression and how it has affected
our lives.
• Finally, active participants need to take part in the
fight to rid our society of sexism.
