TO W}IOM IT MAY CONCERN
The undercigned has pleasure in writing to the favour of
Ms Monique Weweje
Ms Monique Weweje was appointed as teacher aide at George Randell Primary in January
2012. Her role was to assist the teachers in the instruction of basic subjects as well as to
assist in the general management of the learners.
During this time it has been my pleasure to have come to know Ms Weweje as a sincere
teacher aide who has only the best interests of her students at heart. The learners could
confide in her and she became the confidante and mentor of several. She understood their
problems, without being manipulated by those who would possibly take advantage of her.
She displayed great empathy, understanding of and insight into their home backgrounds
and their emotional and physical needs. On several occasion she quietly and sensitively
provided lunch for a learner who had come to school without a midmorning snack.
She handled the learners with kind, yet firm discipline and her calm demeanour and
approach were invaluable assets to classroom control. I fully and completely trusted her
with my class of 35 nine year olds! The learners responded to her with mutual feelings of
acceptance. She was the recipient of many a little boy or girl's hug at the start and end of
the school day!
Ms Weweje was always prepared to go beyond what was expected of her or what her job
description entailed. One of her greatest strengths is that of computer skills. She helped
download programmes for use in the classroom on the interactive whiteboards, problem
solved when teachers battled with their own inadequate computer skills and was invaluable
in this modern day teaching tool.
I believe Ms Weweje will be a Ereat asset to any school and I have no hesitation in
recommending her. She has the qualities and drive to become a superb member of the
teaching profession.
